a 17 year old girl went missing right here in Fort Wayne a couple days ago. we had an Amber Alert and everything, it didn't reach the national level in news.
they found her body as well just recently today.
as i said before, child abductions are not unusual. in fact for the last 10 years there have been far less incidents. this year may be a little worse than last year, but the press finally pretended to care now this summer.

Quiet country villages are easy places for the less well balanced of society to find their victims.

They have locked Ian huntly into an asylum, so I am not sure just how much he actually realises what he has done.

That was incredably disturbing.
Manchester United is holding a minute silence. That was good of them(Their favourite football {Soccer} team.)

Note that summer is historically the slow news/TV season. These abductions have everything stations want from a news story- they are gripping, tragic, have a human element, and have some suspense to them as the case goes on. Perfect entertainment. Once fall comes we'll see less of them though once all the elections start.
