Skinning problem!

ok here is my problem i have different modes in the micro mode of my skin and when i switch from one to another i d like to have and effect moving the inside off the screen from left to right and right to left. Everything works fine without desktop alpha enabled but with desktop alpha the inside of the screen appears at the left and the right of the skin when the background of the layout is transparent.
