New NSV update on www.nullsoft.com/nsv also NEW, NSV tag editor. Now all I could ask for is NSV Chop Chop to cut up some stuff.

NSV is doomed IMO. (http://www.vp3.com/on2/pressreleases/release_062402_vorbis.shtml). Why use MP3 for the audio when you can use Ogg Vorbis?

nsv can use any format for audio
nsv can use any format for video

all you have to do is get the codec.

how is vp3 comparable to divX, quality wise?

VP3 is a symmetrical algorithm meaning that it can compress at the same speed as it decompresses i.e. realtime, making it more useful for live streaming than DivX (of course eventually DivX will become compressable in realtime with beefy processors, making it usable for live stuff). There's obviously a quality difference, but that's why.

NSV is only a container format, it can use any format for audio/video, and so DivX could be added.

Whee, Cody finally posted, heh. :)

VP3 is quite nice.... but VP5 is better ;)
