Some of you guys know that I like going to Lanparties. In about 2 hours, I will be leaving to go to the big one around here. It's about an hour's drive, and there are going to be about 170 people there for 24 hours of constant fragging. I am hoping to win the Soldier of Forutne II tournament (with my team), as well as participate in some other tournaments. This is going to rule. I'll post some pics when I get home.

Sorry about the late reply. I just got back. And there was no internet connection. But it ruled. Anyway, I always found out about these on Lanparty.com's The Big List sorted by region (http://www.lanparty.com/lanregion.shtml) Any local lanparty sites will probably have links to other local ones, so that's another way to find out.

Anyway, when they're site is updated (with pics), I will post them.

Hopefully, I will be able to go to these in the future.

Well, actually my team won the Soldier of Fortune II tournament. I was mainly leaching off the skills of the other players in my team, but I did all right. And the interesting part was the prize for the tournament: Retail copies of Soldier of Forutne II. I think most of our team had bootlegged coppies of the game. I am no uber gamer or anything like that. I enjoy gaming a lot though. So that's why I try and go, for fun.

And yeah, they have listings for Canada.

There's a lanparty café in my area, go there and frag anybody there...I just wonder if it's BYOS (Bring Your Own Skins) and also a model because I have one Sweet ass skin/model set for UT. It uses a "Guardian" model and the skin is something like "Praeturean Guard"...I dunno. It's really sweet though. :)

My machine will win the sexiest machine competition and be a pimp to everyone elses :p. I went to a Counter strike tournament about 2 years ago - VERY hungover, only played 1 game and lost, went home :(.

Some people here have never heard of LAN's ... shocking. I go to one about every weekend (I'm not kidding either)! My record has been getting up at 10am on Friday, packed my stuff went to a LAN and first fell a sleep on 1am on Sunday morning (no need to mention I was beyond tired, do the math :) ) I think that was the biggest one I ever went to (about 400 people). Anywho... long story short... LAN's RULE :)

I think mine would win the most obnoxcious pc award. On the outside - scratched black paint (soon to be replaced with black contact), fans everywhere, generally pretty friggin noisy. It gets carted around a bit, so perspex windows, funky case lights and the rest are a waste of time and money at the moment. The only shiny part are the chrome fan grills, but theyre just to stop fingers going missing.

But inside its neater than most of the pc's with perspex windows and such, more for improved airflow than looks.
