Has anybody else noticed that when using milkdrop in normal mode and then activating 3D when the visuals are ongoing that it only stays in 3D stereo mode for 30 seconds at the most?
I need to be able to revert from 3D mode to normal mode without exiting the program as I am using the visuals in live performances.
If I leave 3D mode always on then I (obviously) can't turn it off.
Is there any way round this problem?

Thanks,

James

For that set-up the 3d mode is only used ona per preset basis. That is why it is happening.

You could resave all the presets in 3d mode then just load what you want in VJ mode from the pc screen.

ANyway for a live show why are you using 3d presets do the crowd all have the glasses.:cool:

"ANyway for a live show why are you using 3d presets do they crowd all have the glasses."

That would be cool.

It got tried once (I went on a web wide milkdrop search and found a band that used milkdrop at their shows).
It didn't work - all the other lights involved in a nightclub/concert ruin the 3d effect, 'cause you're eyes can't relax enough to be fooled by the effect.

Yeah, that was the plan, to get a load of 3D glasses and to give them out to the crowd. So do you not think it'll work?
I can see your point if there's going to be lots of light from the lighting rig then the visuals won't be as clear.
I'll probably just test it out at the launch party and if it goes to plan, implement it at another night.
