View Full Version : Safety Lock

I've just had another idea for Milkdrop. A little box you could tick in the configuration that put milkdrop in a safety escape mode. Basically it won't exit the visuals unless you press a more complicated keystroke such as control shift and escape. I was going to ask to just change the exit from escape to this new configuration but people new to the program wouldn't be able to escape and it would piss them off!! So having an option to complicate the escape would be ideal. It would give people like me who use it live a bigger safety margin during performances. Let me know if you guys agree with this or think I'm spouting cod shit!!! james

I think that's a good idea, I've used MD at parties before and whenever someone tries to fiddle with it they always bump the ESC key.
I agree this would be a useful feature....

Whoa.... Illusion's an Aussie. Wow. Me too :) Just not in terms of physical location atm :)
Yes, the ole three-fingered-salute solution sounds like a great idea.

If you enable VJ mode (in 'more options') then the 'Escape' key is disabled. Now ony ALT+F4 can be used to quit MD.

Yeah, but you lose on-screen text if you've only got one screen...

Hmm that's true - I guess I thought every VJ carries an extra monitor with him for gigs :)
