What happened to all the stations?

There used to be tons of great stations but now there are only a few ok stations. What happened?

Blame CARP for all the good stations going off. The royalty fees are too much for the the stations to keep going. Now, they aren't in effect yet, but will be soon unless the bill that just went to congress isn't passed. I believe we'll have to start paying sometime in mid October if it's passed. All I gotta say to them if they're reading, "Come get it. You ain't getting a penny from me", and a penny is all they'd be able to collect since that's about all I got.

the other issue is that this industry has a high turnover rate because of the lack of revenue. Alot of broadcasters on the shoutcast side are just doing this out of their bedroom.
