Average Sleeping Hours?

Damn I'm an idiot for saying that...

I'm pulling horrible hours because of school, work and the Internet. Usually about five hours of sleep per night. That may seem like alot, but think of it this way. That's 19 hours straight awake. :eek: I'm just curious whats the average out there?

I usually go to sleep around 1 a.m., and then I get up at 7 a.m. on school days.

My body requires a lot of sleep. I get 8 - 9 hours a night. I have been that way since I was a little girl...........

I guess I'm lucky; all my classes start at 10:00 :p My workload hasn't got heavy yet, so I can usually get to bed around 21:00. That means that I've been missing Conan and the Showcase Revue lately :-/ I'm getting back in the habit of sleeping late, so as not to miss all my favorite shows.

I wish I didn't ever have to go to sleep... I've tried doing that: My record was waking up Friday morning 10am, and falling asleep Sunday morning 1am. OK I FELT LIKE THROWING UP.

But it was still pretty cool!

the longest ive ever been up was 2 weeks, after a prank i had pulled on me when someone replaced all my pills with caffene pills... so i took 2 asprin and 2 sleeping pills = 1000% the caffene your body could ever want i was running yp the walls and tweaking, then 2 weeks later i threw up and fell asleep.

My sleeping hours are sketchy. On days I go to work, I'll sleep a minimal of 8 hours and wake up wanting/needing 2 more hours of sleep. And on certain weekends, I can stay up till 4 in the morning, only to wake up 4-5 hours later completly refreshed. But other weekends, I'll sleep a full 12 hours.

Having a bloody job means I have to get up at about 6:15 and I usually don't goto bed much before 11:30. I should really goto bed at 9 but I'm yet to get used to that. I spend the whole day yawning and stretching so I really need a lot more. Today I went to bed about 01:30 I think and got up at gone 12, which was great! I work during the week and catch up on sleep at the weekend so I have very little to actually do anything. But then again I have nothing to do.

The thing I dislike about the workplace is that it discourages productivity beyond... the workplace. That's why I emphasize doing something you love so much. That way, what you do at work is what you would've done in your spare time anyway :-)

That's why I want to become a writer. I always have these neat ideas for a story, but when I sit down at the computer and try to write it, it becomes extremely hard. Is there a way to "learn" to write, or does it just come naturally? I read boat loads of books, but that only makes what you write seem more like plagiarism.

On average, I voted 7-8, but it's more like anywhere between 6 to 7.5... :( I'm gonna catch up on sleep sometime tonight, when I can fit it in from fixing my Palm. :(
