Unreal Tournament 2003

Lemme just say this. I picked up the demo 3 days ago, and I was hooked. Picked up the full version today with a free MS SideWinder GameVoice, and I'm even more hooked. Everything from the player texttures to the sound are great.

Have you played it? What are your thoughts?

I think it's pretty bad ass, I still kinda miss the original UT though.

The game that just rocketed to the top of my "must get" list is Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. Set in a Miami-like city in the 1980's, you play a criminal trying to take over the town. The game includes all the plus points of GTA3 plus motorcycles, pilotable helicopters and a map twice the size of Liberty City. The storyline is again non-linear and the pedestrian and police AI is said to be much improved.

Because it's set some 15 years before GTA3, you get a range of different-looking vehicles, and extra goodies such as hawaiian shirts and dodgy pastel suits. This game looks the absolute shit. :D

I havent played UT2003 yet, but will definately be buying it when it hits stores.

It would be sad if vice city isnt released on pc. I seriously doubt rockstar are turning their backs on pc gamers though....Just because it hasnt been announced, doesnt mean it wont happen. GTA3 was released on ps2 before pc as well remember...

Unless console games are released before their pc counterparts, people wont buy consoles...and therefore wont buy games.

At the moment the only reason i would buy a ps2 would be for gran tourismo3...Since its made by sony entertainment europe, there will never be a pc port (its one of the ps2's biggest sellers) and it will be several years before a pc can emulate a ps2.

Ahhh yes the gamevoice.... tell the people you are killing to f--- off while you are shooting them in the face... sounds more like just more useless internet noise.

UT is boring, don't know why but i'd rather play quake 3, or a half-life mod.

I played UT2003, but I majorly sucked at it...I dunno why though. I was pretty good at UT, and I`m good at most FPSs, but I just kept on getting sniped within 2 seconds of stepping into the open.

Anyways, Vice City is going to kick so much ass...I can`t wait until it comes out at the end of this week. ;)

i have it on reserve :P getting it the 29th, day it gets to the store here. i cant wait. i still havent beaten GTA3 yet, though, but i am pretty far i just have to sit down and try to beat it and i will :) in Vice City you can go into buildings, too. i hope he does swear, giving the finger was novel but not novel enough. i wonder if the bat can do damge to cars now, and if there is a speedometer. also, there are something like 5 times the weapons in this game, a knife, a colt python, shovel (from what my brother told me) and probably some other awesome stuff. the radio is what i am most excited about, though. its soething like 10 hours of 80's hits (actual hits) with micheal jackson and stuff! real songs that you will recognize. the soundtrak will come out on a box set too, just they dont know which one yet. i hope they keep all the talk radio stations, though, but with more recorcding. it got old after a while to hear the guy going on and on about his stupid mariage counseling/ call girl service. they said there is like 5 times the pedestrian dialogue also, so there should be some interesting things that get yelled at you.

UT2003 is the best thing i have ever played as far as multiplayer FPSs go.

as for vice city, since the engine's already ported, the only thing stopping a fairly quick PC release is licensing deals - this game is worth a lot to sony.

Lazlow will be DJ'ing the rock station (remember he said in GTA3 that he got kicked off the rock station... I love continuity :D)

The pedestrian dialogue was pretty good before, except that "I'm Hot and You're Not!" got a bit grating after a while... with more dialogue, this shouldn't happen. I so can't wait to waste my time on another fantastic GTA incarnation :D

GTA3 isnt my taste in violent rampage.

Unreal Championship is the game im waiting for, and im also waiting for Doom 3 and Deus Ex 2 (both im getting for the PC).
