This may have already been answered, but here it is:

Does WinAmp 3 record the crossfade between files to burned CDs? If not, is there currently any way (manually, plug-in, or otherwise) to coerce it into doing so? Thanks for any help in advance.

No, Winamp3 won't. There is a way you can do it in Nero (http://www.nero.com) but I'm unsure how.

Thanks just the same. Maybe this could be a new functionality for the staff to install in WinAmp 4... something to look forward to.

The next version won't be 4. It'll just be a point upgrade to something like 3.11 .

If you use the Diskwriter plugin in conjunction with a crossfader plugin in Winamp 2.xx, it should work.

To do this in WA v2.xx...
How about the SqrSoft ACF Disc Writer (http://classic.winamp.com/plugins/detail.jhtml?componentId=32363)?
A nice complement to the SqrSoft Advanced Crossfading Output (http://classic.winamp.com/plugins/detail.jhtml?componentId=32368) Which I have on all the time.
And just in case you want the whole suite, you could toss in the SqrSoft Limiter (http://classic.winamp.com/plugins/detail.jhtml?componentId=102777) for level normalizing.

Cheers!
