View Full Version : The ACME Stalker

I work at a deli in an ACME market and find the soap opera bullshit that goes down there to be quite entertaining (As long as you're not part of it). One such thing I found strange but interesting was the idea of the ACME stalker.
Basically, when ever there is a girl outside on break, sitting at the picnic table, a payphone down the strip mall rings. It's only a little walk, maybe 20 feet, past a bunch of soda machines.
If the girl picks up the phone, he talks dirty, or talks gibberish.
If there are guys outside on break, with the girl(s), the phone will ring then, too, but it's usually a guy who picks up the phone. Whoever is on the other end hangs up.
It's been happening for five years straight.
Well, tonight, it rang while I was talking with friends when the phone rang. I walked over, picked up the reciever and heard screaming. No lie. Screaming at the other end of the line and it was hideous. I slammed the phone down on the reciever.
From the point I heard the story until tonight I figured it was somebody inside the store, some sick perv who watched the doors or maybe just some weirdo with a lot of time on his hands.
I was just really freaked out by this and figured I'd share it.
So do you think they are from inside or outside? I've honestly told you everything that I know about it, and now not only am I confused by it, but now I'm freaked, too. The most I had expected from the receiver was a *click* or maybe a taunt or threat. Not that horrible screaming. I remember it for a long time.
So was I just listening to some recording or what? It didn't sound like one.
Someone come up with an explanation.

It's most likely some preverb from security who has access to the surveillance camera in the area.

A similar scenario played out at my Cytherea's former place of work... she worked with lingerie so you can imagine the amount of degenerates it attracted. One particular caller consistently harassed the young ladies via telephone- it was found after nearly two years that the culprit was indeed a member of asset protection.

if not, it could be someone from the inside, I knew a person who worked at the deli who had a guy harrass her all of the time, but it was also because her friend also worked in the deli and they were trying to get something going with her (threesome basically... don't ask, I didn't want to know when I heard it).

asset protection.

What a pleasant euphemism. Harkens back to a simpler time, when women were women, and men were protectors of women's assets.
