there's no documented limit on treb/mid/bass that i can find. there HAS to be a limit to them; there's a limit in the mp3 itself. but i need to know what that limit is in md's code.
does anyone know?

Hmm.. Ryan's readme files only show that bass tends to be between 0.7 and 1.3, but doesn't seem to set any hard limit on it.
bass >0 retrieves the current amount of bass. 1 is normal; below ~0.7 is quiet; above ~1.3 is loud bass
I can't really see that there needs to necessarily be a limit, but if 1.3 is considered "loud bass", it would be reasonable to expect it to be maybe 2.0? Otherwise, I don't really know.. sorry...

I just started making my own preset and i need to know the same thing. I read some tutorial that said bass_att is actually the difference between the bass level of the previous and current frame. i can see how this would approach infinity, but i dont know about the normal bass (or treb, mid) variable. id really like to figure this out. if you figure it out post it. i might email you too.
