For some reason MilkDrop recently started doing this. It hasn't always done it, but it just now started... whenever I start it up, I can see winamp flickering in the background. I am on the newest version of winamp 3, using classic visualization.

Minimize winamp before you run it and right click winamp in the taskbar and click winamp/visulization/start/stop plugin and it should be fine.

There is no "visualization" or "start/stop plugin" option when you right-click. Even if there was, wouldn't it start the default Winamp 3 visualization? I would need it to start the selected visualization in the Classic Visualization window... because it is a WA2 component.

If anything is a'active' on yout taskbar you may/will get flicker through.
eg if my modem does the auto-connect thing the icon's appear on the taskbar and thus in the flicker is apparent.
So kill any antivirus etc

I KNOW that's not the problem though, because I've been using Winamp3, MilkDrop, and Classic Visualization for a while without getting this problem at all. It recently started... I think it might have been after I installed drivers for my monitor, or after i changed the refresh rate... but I can't figure out how to fix it.

Okay, nevermind... I had my monitor's refresh rate set at 75 hertz... for some reason that caused the flickering... But why? I had to set it back to 60 hertz to fix the flickering.

I had the flickering... increased the res (from 600x800 to like the highest setter.. not sure what it was) and it went away.
