Can anyone refer me to a program that will let me play DivX files in Kazaa? I just hate it when I download the movie, and its not what I want...which happens pretty often since Kazaa doesn't support the DivX format, not even in v.2

Kazaa does support divx.

Since WiMP is used for audio and video (whoa..dejavu) as long as the divx codec is installed it will play.

As for being able to preview divx movies before the download is complete, i dont think its possible.

It is generally not. Partially downloaded divx files will not play most of the time.

But there is a program that adds and fixes divx headers of partially downloaded divx files. So if you copy and paste the partially downloaded file from wherever you have kazaa downloading it, then use this program on that copied file, you will be able to view it in any player that can play divx.

The program is called Divfix. I use it all the time. Just load the file into DivFix and press "rebuild index".

Thanks for the link snyder. :)

Will definately try this out later. Its a pain in the arse when downloading divx movies and they turn out to be something that didnt fit the description/file name....Especially on 28k...
