Has anybody here read the book Anthem by Ayn Rand? That theme is one scary idea. :shudder::eek:
If you haven't read it I'll tell you about what it is about. It's really awesome. You should all read it, it's only 100 pages. But very intresting.

I've been really interested in Ayn Rand, although I've never read any of her books. I was hoping to read Anthem and Atlus Shrugged (which I hear is also very good).

Perhaps because she's a conservative ethnic-cleansing fascist? I've been meaning to read Ayn Rand for a while, if only because I've heard she makes good arguments for such outlandish ideas that it forces you to understand your own convictions better.

The Fountainhead Great Book, Great Read! She's so right wing!
She's makes anything with the word "social" attached to it seem
like man is giving his soul away. But she's subtle:D

I started to read "Atlas Shrugged" many years ago, but for some reason I thought it was extremely dry at first and quit about 1/8 of the way through. I should pick it back up, but I already have about 10 books lined up before it.... I wish I could stop time and exist in a stasis where all I did was read books for hundreds of non-years only to pick up from where I left off whenever I wanted.
