The trilogy has been on dvd here for about 4 months now....Is it possible that something was released here before it was released in the states??

street date for US release was this past tuesday, so yes, it looks like.

[edit: but yeah, anyway... share your enthusiasm. or lack thereof.]

[edit2: on another note, anyone seen minority report? i'm kind of scared, because i hear it's good and it might actually fuck up my whole "everything by spielberg after 1999 sucks" theory.]

tri, spielberg actually made a "decent" movie. The movie was great, set in the future like AI. Spielberg IMO does suck, but the actors and plot don't.

Great films, but nothing I'm interested in owning. I'll look for 'em at the rental shop.

Minority Report was ok. Not knock-your-socks-off fantastic, but good enough.

I thought it was pretty good too, a little far fetched maybe, but as a trekkie i can handle that.

I thought Minority Report was good. I remember laughing, and being the ONLY one, laughing when he ate all the rotten food in the frige. Something about Tom Cruise eating rotten food made me laugh so hard I was almost falling out of my seat. ;)

Lots of love,
Mea

I picked up the BTTF trilogy for my buddy, but I am having a very difficult time convincing myself to actually give it to him.

That's like when I went to see American Beauty and the guy said "you want to see the mosy beautiful thing I've ever filmed?" and then he shows a video of a plastic bag blowing in the wind...I was cracking up, but everybody else in the theater was just sitting there in total silence, apparently thinking that this was meant to show how dysfunctional the "psycho boy" was, which it wasn't...I can't help the fact that nobody else got it.
