everyone is pissed cuz some ex-mod broke the rules repeatedly and got permanently banned for it.

People who leave obvously don't give a fuck about winamp or its fans so I really couldnt give a good god damn about them anyways, so let them leave.

oh well, life goes on.

I somehow fail to see how leaving these forums indicates that certain people "don't give a fuck about winamp". I doubt that most Winamp users have ever been to these forums.

I meant the website and the forums. CG, why are you so angry at me?

Nor do I think they'd want to stay, for fear of getting all their damn threads locked without explanation, then banned for complaining about it. The climate of the moment is chilly at best. As a moderator, how can you not be obliged to give reasoning to the very people you serve? It's an honorary position, not a dictatorship.

Ive never had a thread locked on me that I didnt take exception to. Ive never been banned, nor have posted obscene shit on the boards. Maybe if people played by the rules there wouldnt be any fear.

thank you for pointing out a potential flaw in the rules, they have been ammended appropriately.

Hard to do when the rules change, isn't it?
