go to display settings and under the appearance tab change that stuff to your liking.

2 ways to fix it, either choose a default theme (right click desktop > properties > themes) or click the appearance tab (still in display properties) > advanced and manually assign a font size.

Can't really see it in the picture - or is that what the text looks like on your monitor? Try editing that programs options.

Different font? You should be able to change it in the appearance tab.

I messed with some setting, idk wheer

Try to remember, it looks as though something has stuffed up.

You could try setting the font size to large, but i dont know if it'd help.

larg makes all the good looking fonts mess up. idk if it was even a setting. I was moving fotns around on my com earlier. I tried to make a .zip file for a frined, but i made a older instead of a zip, and moved my fnts into there, but the fonts enver moved out of teh windoes\fonts directory, so i didn't thik that would be a problem when i deleted teh new folder. but wouldn't the rest of the fotns on screen b skrewey if that ahppened tho? i could do a system restore, but that woudl requiring backing up a lot of stuff, and i sjsut organized all my folders. :(

Display Properties > Themes/Appearance > Advanced > Font size. Set it to 100%, or higher if you want.

If that isn't it...

It looks like you've managed to delete MS Sans Serif. Grab your Windows CD, and go through the CABs to find the font file (TTFs), then copy them all to your windows/fonts dir using DOS prompt. Overwrite any existing files.

Word. Good luck.

Try backing up all your fonts, then removing and re-installing them.

If that doesnt work, a system restore might.

The fonts arent in a cabinet file on the xp cd, theyre in the i386 dir, with a _ at the end of the file name (ex: arial.tt_ instead of arial.ttf). But if you have another xp home system without this prob then just copy the fonts from that system.

The standard windows fonts are:

Arial
Arial Alternative Regular
Arial Alternative Symbol
Arial Black
Arial Bold
Arial Bold Italic
Arial Italic
Comic San MS
Comic San MS Bold
Courier 10, 12, 15
Courier New
Courier New Bold
Courier New Italic
Courier New Bold Italic
Impact
Lucida Console
Marlett
MS Sans Serif 8, 10, 12, 14, 18, 24
MS Serif 8, 10, 12, 14, 18, 24
Smallfonts
Symbol
Symbol 8, 10, 12, 14, 18, 24
Tahoma
Tahoma Bold
Times New Roman
Times New Roman Bold
Times New Roman Bold Italic
Times New Roman Italic
Trebuchet
Trebuchet Bold
Trebuchet Bold Italic
Trebuchet Italic
Verdana
Verdana Bold
Verdana Bold Italic
Verdana Italic
Webdings
Westminster

I'd copy them all over to a folder thats easy to remember (like c:\fonts)

To get to a command prompt, you'll need to press F8 at starup, and choose safe mode with command prompt.

Then type: copy c:\fonts\*.* c:\windows\fonts
