I used to use Cubic Player 1.7 (wayyyy back, I know :D ) and I really like the visualisations it had, like the graphic analyser that swept across the screen and the assorted oscilloscopes it had. Are there any Winamp2.x plugins that duplicate these visualizations? They ruled, and I'd like them in my winamp :p Thanks.

could you describe this more?
you might want to try AVS, but you'll have to download presets off the Winamp site, because the presets in the Newpicks folder reaaally suck.

This vis. plug-in Nullsoft Visualization Library

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh :D
You don't know how long I've searched for something like that :p
Now if only I could... ummm... nope, it's cool :)

Nuts. If only I could set the graphing frequency range :igor: It's still cool though :)
If anyone else knows of anything similar, let me know. I'll check thooose out too
;)

Speaking of AVS, did anyone make any similar AVS presets that you know of?

Thanks

oh yes...it would be EXTREMELY easy to make something like this in AVS...just look in the Newpicks folder...they are very basic and look similar to these.

Hmmm, this may sound silly, but I don't have and can't seem to find the NullSoft AVS plugin. The site is definately not the easiest to navigate :/ I tried searching in the plugin area to no avail :( I guess it would explain why I never got any of the AVS stuff I dowloaded a long time ago to work either :P

Why don't you just download the OpenCP source and port the visualizers to WinAMP? :)

AVS comes with Winamp Standard and Full.
options --> prefrences --> plugins --> visualizations --> advanced visualization studio.

click start. to make your own, double-click on the AVS screen.

Or, Crtl+K as a short cut to the visualizations plug-in list. AVS is the Advanced Visualization Studio. If you don't have it you might want to download Winamp (http://classic.winamp.com/download) 2.9. As Michaelthecat said it comes with Standard or Full Winamp.

The "newpicks" is the prepackaged presets that come with AVS. I have looked through some of them and I can not find any the closely resemble the Cubic Player visualizations. There are a lot to choose from, so maybe there is something that will.

Ahhh, maybe I need to download the newer version then. I have 2.7 I think, with no AVS... :p

As for Why don't you just download the OpenCP source and port the visualizers to WinAMP
Whaddo I look like? A computer programmer? :D
But actually, having never used the AVS before, I have no idea how to do anything with it nor how to make a plugin in general. :weird:
It may be worth a shot though ;)

And one of these :igor: for good measure. (That has to be the most amusing "smilie" face I've seen in a long time...)

Well, how about that then?
I downloaded the latest version (2.9) and not only does it have the AVS, but it also has NullSoft TinyVis or some such thing, and in this are the two visualations that I wanted :D
It even let's me adjust the graphing range of the voiceprint. Sweet ;) :igor:
