Ok, I get this error on my server log when I run my server...

<04/02/03@16:49:42> [yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave extended error (Cannot see your station/computer (IP: 68.169.150.122:8000) from the Internet, disable Internet Sharing/NAT/firewall/ISP cache (Connection timed out))

First, I dont have a firewall, however, I do have a router. Can I not use this if I have a router? Is there something I can do or dissconnect to make this work? Thanks in Advance... I will go ahead and connect my comp directly to the modem and see if that works, but please respond if you have any help for me. Thanks!

in order to use it with a router, you must set the router to forward that certain port to your pc. First find the ip of the pc that the shoutcast server will be on, then go to the router's options (usually webbased) and set it to forward the port that shoutcast will be on to the ip of that pc.

I appreciate the help, but im still a new-b in that area too. The router is a 4 port switch with 3 comps hooked to it. There was no software and everything was just plugged and played. I dont know if this info helped you any but where exactly do i change this setting at and how do i do it? Do I do it through my specific PC? Please excuse my ignorance... but this is ALL new to me.

Also. is the IP for my PC the one that it says it cant connect to? that seems to be the IP stamped on all my internet doings...

Do you have AIM, since you seem to be live, this will be a little easier that way. I am "carbine am" on AIM... My modem is plugged into the router...
