i hate new technologies..

i hate windows XP
i hate winamp 3
i hate quake 3
i hate mirc 6
i hate msn 5
i hate kazaa 2

maybe im crazy, but im a classic.. most of new technologies are almost automatic.. i love the byhand work, i love the simple but big environments where you have everything under control (an example of this is the "f3" feature taked out in wa3, and DOS taked out in winXP) and much other things i wont list here...

nice arguments..

well.. i mean full of features and things and shits you will never use or need, and they use a lot of space and memory and resources.. most of these are graphics, sounds.. bah.. i dont know which word do you use in english but i think you understand my point.

i am not highlighting Winamp at all, it is my new-technologies-generic-opinion ;)

i, of course, dont think that about *all* new softwares but that happens in most of them.

about quake3, is really true.. i love quake2 'cause is a little less flexible but is fully playable, as same quake3.

well you give no arguements to say they are more automatic.

well just cause it's full of new features doesn't make it worse, the idea is to open up your software to new users, and most new users need 'automatic' features. The reason I disagree with your post is because at least half the software you list is still just as powerful or more powerful as their predecessors, they just made it in such as way that it maybe different to do what you used to do. Examples from your list are:

i hate windows XP
i hate winamp 3
i hate kazaa 2

I don't know about the rest in your list as I don't use them.

I think the term you're looking for is bloated.

In a lot of cases it's true, software these days does tend to offer a lot more features, sound and prettier graphics. But modern pc's can handle this with ease.

But with Winamp 2.9 you can choose not to install the bloat of the media library, or video support; for example - the engine is just a bug-fixed version of Winamp 2.81, adn is well worth the upgrade.

YUS@@@ I think the media library and video are great. Plus none of the the stuff we don't want in wa3.

Hate the media libray myself, but then you dont have to have it.

Love winamp 3 though, but purly for the skins, untill it reaches the quaity of 2.9 I'm keeping both on my computer.

And as for XP (spit) I fart in MicroBrains (spit) Face for creating such a bugy lump of excreatica. (for gods sack it crashes just running the brand new SFC:III! even 98 runns that!)

2.9 circumvents the one bug I found in Winamp3, a tiny song-title display issue affecting one song in my entire playlist. However, it doesn't handle multiple playlists with the panache that 3 does, so it isn't going to stay.

Ummm...Winamp 2.x is classic, and I thought MSN was in version 8, not 5.
