[yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave extended error (Cannot see your station/computer (IP: 24.201.242.78:8000) from the Internet, disable Internet Sharing/NAT/firewall/ISP cache (Connection refused))

ok then heres what you do, you need to allow you ports to be opened on the firewall open port 8000-8001 . Restart your server and go!

my firewall on my computer or the one on my router?

Both if necessary.

For reference, check out the Sticky post titled:
SHOUTcast: Important Info & Answers to FAQs. READ ME!

Scroll down a bit and look for the section titled:
DNAS Stuff -> Errors -> Fixing [yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave extended error (Cannot see your station/computer (IP: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:xxxx) from the Internet, disable NAT/firewall/ISP cache (Connection timed out)

Are the necessary ports open in your firewall and are they being forwarded to the DNAS machine?

Check out http://www.radiotoolbox.com/cantheygetin and see if the reported information there helps.

I think for you it would be your router, because you said it would work when the router was not pluged in

Ok JAPH! I had the same problem, here goes!
check your router manual for how to get into the advanced settings (you will need to put sum ip address in to get to the settings etc) You will need to now do something which redirects people to your pc from the routers port 8000. So, you want to create a virtual server.

Set it up so that incoming data from port 8000 goes to the ip address of your pc not your router! so, whats happening is when people type in your link ie http://192.132.1.4:8000/listen.pls (the ip types in is the routers ip) so data goes to the router, to port 8000, which is the redirected toy your computer because u told it to!
best luck mate, it aint as hard as it seems, check your manual!

try changing the port from 8000 to 1023.

JAPH, FYI: 192.168.2.100 is a private lan ip.

Machines on the same lan as the DNAS (you) need to use the lan ip of the DNAS to connect/listen.
Machines not on the same lan as the DNAS (the rest of the world) need to use the real, world-visible ip of the DNAS to connect/listen.
