Need help

I'd like to try set up a video stream. Do you really need a capture device, like a webcam? I'd like to try stream some mpegs on the harddrive.

Pre-encode them to NSV (NSV Batch Encoder) then use the SHOUTcast Streamer to stream them (NSV SHOUTcast File Source)

I wonder if I am doing something wrong here.

I add a file into NSVate, and it asks for a Encoding Profile (there are none in the list)... I can't press "edit profiles" or just press "OK" - the program crashes or something, the window just dissapears.

Yeah, it appears to do that. You can encode them one at a time using nsvenc
