we hit 70,072 concurrent listeners on the service on the 22nd, consuming 6,892 megabits of traffic (about 137,840 modems, 4,600 T1 lines, or 155 T3 lines if you're counting). looks like 100 isn't far off!

of those 70,072, AOL was responsible for 42,080 (4,872Mbps.)

congrats all!

I assume the inclusion of "Internet Radio" in WA2.9 increased listener count. Wonder if there is a noticeable spike in listeners after 2.90 was released. :D

yeah, but don't most people download winamp 3? isn't that where www.winamp.com/download takes you?

Yup..I was actually watching the listener count @ work when it hit 70,000+. I was like WOW! #1 everywhere. NO ONE or ANYTHING can beat SC! I can't wait to see this go past 100,00 listeners in a few months.

Your 5 CONTRIBUTES! Who knows, in 30 days, you may have 20 more tuned in. Anything is possible! Never be intimidated by others' large numebrs.
