Hi, I've been up and down, and all over this forum, and it's been helpful, I'm getting closer to getting it to work. Here is my problem. When I try streaming the following happens

[I subbed the numeric ip, with ip]

D:\PROGRA~1\NSVTOOLS>nsvscsrc ip:8001:headers.txt D:\PROGRA~1\NSVTO
OLS
Adding file to list: 'ac130.nsv'
[re]Connecting to ip:8001

then it just keeps spamming this:
connect:'ip':'8000'
Opening file 'D:\PROGRA~1\NSVTOOLS\ac130.nsv'...Success
done sending title info

My headers.txt contains the following:

mypassword (which matches the one in the serv.ini)
content-type:video/nsv
icy-metadata:0
icy-name:Ranger's Stream
icy-genre:Video
icy-pub:0
icy-br:128
icy-url:http://www.com
icy-irc:n/a
icy-icq:n/a
icy-aim:AimSucks
icy-reset:1

I've tried changing the ports around, but to no avail, it's not working. Does anyone have any ideas.

Looks fine. Is ac123.nsv the only file in the folder?
How often does it sya that?
Any errors in the Server long?

What exactly is the problem?

Yeah, AC130.asv is the only file in the folder.

the problem is, it just keeps spamming the following, and doesn't stop until I kill the command

connect:'ip':'8000'
Opening file 'D:\PROGRA~1\NSVTOOLS\ac130.nsv'...Success
done sending title info

is that supposed to happen?

no errors in the server log.

Also, when I try and connect to the server to watch it, it connects and then says 'cannot sync to mpeg'

You have to connect to:

http://ip:port/;file.nsv

so that means it's suppose to keep repeating

connect:'ip':'8000'
Opening file 'D:\PROGRA~1\NSVTOOLS\ac130.nsv'...Success
done sending title info

over and over and over and over again?

Well, if it is the only file everytime it finishes it it has to reopen it and send the title info again. It is looping the file.

The file is roughly 7 minutes long, if it is looping, it shouldn't be looping so fast. Could there be something wrong with how it was encoded?

try playing the file in Winamp, see if it works.
