We'll They have other alternatives; eazy uhh not real sure. But I use SAM2 a program by www.spacialaudio.com great stuff! About to Release the RC3!!!! Can't wait. Also Festerhead and a few other stations at shoutcast use it also. But however this programs for serious broadcasters its gotta $200 price tag on it. NOt bad though, great stuff!

;) i hope you can . heres my specs to give you an idea of what im working with . i have dsl bellsouth , winxp pro , winamp 2 .. now i possibly get the most common of all errors but since im so new to this , you can hit me with the stupid stick later if need be :) hehe .. anyhow , i keep getting this error ''' <05/12/03@03:20:32> [yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave error (nak)
<05/12/03@03:20:32> [yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave extended error (Cannot see your station/computer (IP: 22.214.171.124:8890) from the Internet, disable Internet Sharing/NAT/firewall/ISP cache (Connection timed out))'''
now i disabled the firewall in winxp's settings for that . then i checked what could be using my ports but im not too sure about that since i dont know where to change ports on what and where ..im messing around with the shoutcast ''edit config'' file with changing the yport but i still havnt figurerd out if im doing things right ... this is getting so bad i may need a step by step picture help file :) .. ehehhe j/k ...

Sounds like a firewall problem. Are you using any other firewall besides the one that come with XP?

i have an anti virus prog (pccillin) and the winxp firewall ... thats all i know of ..

Check the logs in the firewall program to see if it is blocking your broadcast. I use zonealarm pro and I was getting the same error. I just had to configure it.
Good luck :)
