If I am the owner of a small indie label and want to stream some music from my label, with permission from each band to do so, do I still have to pay the royalty companies? I have written a one-page license/form for the bands to grant me royalty-free permission to stream their songs. And what is this DMCA "statutory license" I read about on the RIAA page? Do I have to pay for that? It is obvious that I would stream this music to promote the bands, not to get people to pirate the music or something.

is the music your going to play copyrighted

if the band doesn't havea copyright/label, and they have given u permission then you dont pay anything :)

if your their label/copyright then you should be able to play it for free :)
