Okay, what are the games that you never managed to finish ? I'm not talking about games you gave up on because they were crap or boring; no, games you really wanted to finish but couldn't in spite of all your efforts ?

I have to say that mine was Bubble Bobble on the Sega Master System. never understood how you were supposed to reach the 100th and last level (also, never understood what the mysterious characters in the bonus room were supposed to mean).

Go for it now. :)

I'm right with you on BB, on every system I've played it on, and there has been a few, never could reach the top level without cheating.

Could never crack Ghouls and Ghosts, been replaying it lately on my GBAsp, and I still can't fucking get to the end, drives me mad....

Deus Ex. I'd play it constantly, get a little further than before, and then forget about it. I always wanted to beat it, but I'd hit a weird part and just give up too easily.

Chrono Trigger (I eventually gave up after the stupid cart crashed four friggin times).

Lightweight :D

Run guns, drugs and slaves, spend most of your time in hyperspace shooting Thargs (?) and collecting alien artifacts and you will be as hard as nails in no time

Commander Jones was infamous :D

Was I the only one who used a mining laser as my main weapon instead of the regular ones?, I found they cut thru just about anything in half the time ...

Castlevania Simon's Quest for NES, was just too hard for me at the time... i'll have to see if it's any easier after a decade of not playing it.

Super Bomberman 2 on the SNES. The last level, with the eye, was a total arse, because you needed a throw icon to be able to beat it, so if you died, you have to do five levels all over again just to get one. I no longer have the console so I'll never know.

I got damned close to the end of Zelda: A Link to the Past. DAMNED close.
