Well, their new album comes out soon and I was wondering, who they are and what songs are good enough to possibly make me a fan.
I'm not a Pop guy (I don't listen to what everybody else does), but they seem to have a huge following and I'm wondering what I'm missing.
Any suggestions?
Other than Creep. I have that song, it rocks.

It's set to release on the 10th
but you can listen to it here now:
MTV's The Leak (http://www.mtv.com/music/the_leak/radiohead/hail_to_the_thief/)
I listened to it today.
Sure doesn't sound like pop to me.
From them.... I only like "Creep"....
That song it's about me :(
Paranoid Android is a fantastic song from OK Computer. Their earlier stuff is probably the most popular. So try anything from Pablo Honey, The Bends or OK Computer. Their last 2 albums (Amnesiac and Kid A), were more... errr, I don't know how to describe it, 'not like their previous work'.
Radiohead are certainly not pop music though.

the stuff on the albums pablo honey, the bends and ok computer is rockier (although still fairly experimental, except for pablo honey). their newer albums (kid-a, amnesiac) have been a lot more electronic and experimental.
tracks that you should hear:
from the bends:
"the bends"
"just" (best music video ever, too :D)
"street spirit (fade out)"
"my iron lung"
from ok computer:
"paranoid android"
"electioneering"
"karma police"
from kid-a:
"idioteque"
"everything in its right place"
"optimistic"
from amnesiac:
"pyramid song"
"i might be wrong"
"pulk/pull revolving doors" (although i seem to be the only person who likes this song)
"packt like sardines in a crushd tin box"
if you like rock-y music, get "the bends". if you wanna experiment in other cool music, just check everything :D
on the new album, "2+2=5", "sit down, stand up" and "where i end and you begin" - among other - are great
let's play "spot the fanboy"...

He supports Man City. Says everything.
I think that the new album is a lot better than Amnesiac, even though it is the same type of experimental music. Where I End And You Begin is a superb track.

I'd like to see Radiohead cover "we are the cheeky girls" or some other such perky pop song, all that shoe gazing and finger wringing can't be good for them...

didn't they agree to do some stupid song cover for a eurovision entry next year on a recent TV interview?

I saw them on the Jonathan Ross show, he said something along the lines of "you guys should do eurovision next year"
I'm all for that,
300 million Europeans all comit mass suicide after Radiohead play "my shoes have no soul in them" live on eurovision...

With Radiohead I really can't get past the voice. The only song I can really listen to is Karma Police, although if you looped the guitar solo in Paranoid Android I'd sure listen to it.
