Does anyone here know if it's possible to make a plugin that can play PS2 .STR Audio files on Winamp?

The reason I'm looking for something like this, is because I've got some tracks from a PS2 game copied to my hard drive, and I want to be able to convert them to .wav or .mp3

If i can't convert them, I at least want to be able to play them.

Or, if you know of a program that can do this, please link me... any help would be much appreciated

thanks

There is a program that will let you listen to the audio tracks of most popular ps2 games, but since it's probably in the same category as stream rippers it's probably best if i dont post a link to it here.

Yeah... that prog doesn't support the game i have. I'm trying to get the audio files off of Amplitude, because most of those songs aren't readily available on the net. And you can't purchase a soundtrack for the game... I mean, i own the game, so it's legal for me to create a soundtrack to play in my car or whatever.

I have failed to find any type of program that can play these files... I don't guess anyone would have a reason to write a component to play these in Winamp, considering the huge file size of the audio files.

The game has an option to just play through the soundtrack, but that only works when it's in a PS2. Is there any way I can hook the PS2 up to my computer and play the soundtrack while my computer records the audio? What would be the best method of doing this, while keeping in mind that I want to have great audio quality? How can I hook them together, and what program should I use to record the sound? I know I'll have to record it minute for minute, but time isn't really an issue... i can leave it going for an couple hours.
