What's the worst thing you've ever seen done to a console? The worst I can think of is back in '98 when my cousin came home to see his beloved N64 ripped to shreads by his dog, and earlier that day have coke poured all over his controller by his sister's kid.

I saw pictures that someone linked to here on the forums a while back... they were pictures of someone replacing the inards of an NES with computer parts. They turned an NES into a damn computer! Sacrilege!

Didn't you fish a N64 out of a ditch or something once upon a time Sarge?, or am I thinking of someone else???

hmm.... I personaly have seen my friend step on his playstaion (it survived but died a month or to later). He also "spilled" pop and other random fluids on it. And how knows what else. He killed 3 Playstations.
I have never ever abused a system.
PUT A COMPUTER IN AN NES! HOW DARE HE!

Nope. That was me. :) While I was at work one day (since I work for Public Works, my jobsites are all over the city), I saw an N64 laying in the ditch across the street from a house. I picked it up and brought it home with me. That night, after figuring out a way to remove the special screws that hold it together, I finally took the thing apart. I put all the pieces of the case in the kitchen sink and let them soak overnight in soapy water, and I cleaned the circuit board with an old toothbrush. The next day, I put it back together and plugged it in... Works great. :)

This just happened a few hours ago. My bro turned on the surround system and just as doing so, the DVD try opened and tipped a cup next to it, spilling water all over my beloved N64. Luckiely, after blow-drying it for three hours, it works again. And it's not just the N64 that can survive water, look what EGM did to a GBA (and it worked three days later!):

Damn! Why would someone flush a GBA in the toilet? I'm hoping that was just to prove a point. :)

Well they were doing an article to test the toughness of a GBA. It survived flame, being thrown to the ground, getting stepped on, getting bitten, you name it.

The N64 is the same way. When I took mine apart to clean it, I saw just how tough it was built. Very nice. :)

That's crazy. Morons are too cheep to buy a REAL PC. Instead they have to mod a poor NES. I mean, what did it ever do to you do deserve such punishment???

My friend was drunk and threw his X Box at a microwave oven. While it was on! There were sparks everywhere.

The worst thing ive ever done to a consle is:

Drop a 2 week (PS2 just released) old PS2 from the top shelf of a closet.

The fall proved fatal.

The fall proved fatal. That's because PS2 sucked back then. I got one when It first came out as well and It died after about a year. :( But I now have the new model and it seems much more stable.

No he through it so hard that it made a hole in the Microwave while someone was making pop corn! So the X Box ripped it's way in.

The worst thing I've done to my x-box (by far) is put Ghost Recon in the cd-tray. What was I thinking of??? How will it ever forgive me??

While this isn't the worst thing I've seen done to various consoles, it is by far the coolest....

Wow this guy makes some cool stuff but I bet he's never made an X-Microwave-box!

Cylob

How long does an x-box take in the microwave? Do you have to remove the outer packaging first?

Calrobowiz
23rd June 2003, 22:03
5 sec. to mess it up just right. More time might be needed for better flavor!

when does it get the nice melting effect that makes it just a treat to tast? Also, how does the HDD survive?
Well, seeing it broke into it, wouldnt only be electricuted? not attacked by the microwaves, or did it get into that area of the microwave? would have been nice to see some pics.

One of my friends (he was drunk at the time) accidentally pissed all over his Xbox one night. It still works though.

*bump* (forgive me, admins)

Mr Jones
29th June 2003, 21:40
Bump for what reason?

It wasn't off the first page.
You've added nothing to the discussion.

So why the bump?

Do I need to remind you about the forum rules?, specially the bit about post pumping? That's twice tonight I've had to remind you about them, first on how the edit buttons works, and now this. Care to explain?

What does he mean by "bump"?

sgtfuzzbubble011
30th June 2003, 00:14
A bump is when someone posts in a thread just to bring the thread back to the top of the forum.
