View Full Version : Only users I want on my stream?

Is there a way of blocking everyone exept the users I want?

I guess I could keep adding all the IP's to the banlist, but this is not really a good (and easy) option.

Is there such a thing as a whitelist? (allow only IP list)

Is it important that your stream be listed in the public listing? If you set icy-pub to 0, your stream won't be listed in the directory, then you can simply give out the server address to your friends.

also use RIP only and reserve the IP's of the people you want to connect.

I've set RIPonly = yes , but I can still access the stream (even when my IP is not in the reserve IP's list)

Do I need to set more to enable the RIPonly part?

did you remove the simi-colon from in front of RIPOnly?

I'm STILL stuck with this private settings stuff..

This is my sc_serv.ini file:

MaxUser=32
Password=not_for_you
PortBase=8000
LogFile=sc_serv.log
RealTime=1
ScreenLog=1
ShowLastSongs=10
W3CEnable=Yes
W3CLog=sc_w3c.log
SrcIP=ANY
DestIP=ANY
Yport=80
NameLookups=0 ;1
AutoDumpUsers=10
AutoDumpSourceTime=30
PublicServer=always
AllowRelay=Yes
AllowPublicRelay=Yes
MetaInterval=8192
ListenerTimer=11
BanFile=sc_serv.ban
RipFile=sc_serv.rip
RIPOnly=Yes

And this is my headers.txt file (from the NSVTools)

not_for_you
content-type:video/nsv
icy-metadata:testing
icy-name: testing
icy-genre:Webcam
icy-pub:0
icy-br:128
icy-url:NA
icy-reset:1

I have set the icy-pub: to 0, but it's still listed in the Internet TV directory.

Also EVERYONE is still able to connect to the stream.. Even when RIPOnly=Yes is set to yes.

Any sugestions???

I don't know much about non-NSV Shoutcast work but.. you DO have "PublicServer = Always"... I'd think if you didn't want it to be public.. you'd set that to "Never" or something. Otherwise, I don't know. My server doesn't show up in the Internet TV listings so I know it's not a problem with your headers.txt since mine is relatively the same.
