For example if i have two djs and i need these two audio sources be mixed into one stream server side?
So i should setup two shoutcast servers on different ports for them to connect to and stream, but how do i mix these two streams into one? So listeners could connect to one stream and have both there.
I need this to be done server side on linux/fbsd server, any suggestions?

thanks in advance

wouldnt 2 Dj's cause overlap? 2 streams mixing into 1 isnt gunna sound good.

So the djs can talk to each other, or so the listener hears both broadcasts?

well its a hip hop show, so we'd work it out them doing it one after another as long as i'll be able to combine two streams into one

Yes. Give the other guy the server information. BUT, that dont mean two djs can be casting on the same stream at the same time. There are two ways you can do this, The first way -

When the first DJ is done with his show he would disconnect his stream, then the second DJ would connect to the server and start casting through his computer. To do that, the second DJ would do what the first one did to start his broadcast. If you do it right, the listeners would hear two streams (from two different computers) flow through perfect. If the second doesnt get connected right away, the listeners will hear the last few seconds of the first one repeated.

The second way would probably be too complicated. If you need more information about it reply back.

Read the info on this forum for more information about the first way.
