I'm from Europe (well I think most people know) and I think that most of teh people in this forum are from the US and Europe, mostly UK (don't know which will be more though, I guess US) Canada coming in third. Let's see if my prediction will be right :) It's only natural since it's an English speaking forum. But it's interesting to see the real numbers and relations. (I don't hink this hs been done before at least I don't remember voting in a poll like this)
Mia:)

...and Switzerland has pretty Swiss girls, too! (Not referring to me since I'm not Swiss!)

Well in my sig it says I'm from York City... so you could assume england... but it's New York City so you can assume the states... but in the end I really come from the fourth planet orbiting the sun named Krandor... so North America, US is close enough.
Although I wouldn't be surprized if there are more Europeans here than Americans, it just seems that there more Europe people on fourms more than anywhere else. Anywho.
Oh Mia I didn't know you were from England, I thought you were out in the mid-west somewhere in the states... stupid me.

I'm with Jones, a Briton rather than a European. In any case, Britain's not part of the European mainland. Great Britain is it's own continent.

Well you really just want to know? No good reason really, just a feeling I got :) But in all seriousness, I figured for someone who would be able to put these types of pictures up all day and actually have great discussions about these issues annnd... the way you had your *ahem* bouncy animations, just thought that you were from the US... mind you I can be very closed minded when it comes to the fact that the entire world doesn't live in the United States.

What is all this talk about UK not being in Europe? That is so much BS. And to you the_Flames (imagine the STFU n00b pic here)... I really like England and I have never heard anyone say that they disslike it.
I was there a couple of weeks ago and the only bad thing I can say about it is that you drive on the wrong side of the road.
Lets face it, you don't controle 1/3 of the earths total landmass anymore. You are just a little island in Europe.

The EU is perhaps the most pointless entity on the face of the Earth, sucking money out of the rich European countries, and giving it to the poor ones. I hate the EU.
ertmann|CPH
5th August 2003, 12:47
hmmmmm i was refering to continents not the EU, Europe is a whole lot more than the EU....
Anyway, besides that i actually like the EU, it's been overwhealmingliy succesfull in what it set out to do, namely bring lasting peace to the European continent.... And anyway, i'm all in for the Robin Hood principle..... And if you look at things in a larger perspective, it's good for the rich countries exports when the poorer countries in Europe get richer.

1/3 of the earth's population is fluent in English. If that's not a legacy I don't know what is.

yes bilbo,
only, you have to start somewhere...... getting the former eastern block up running is, in no way, unrealistic - only it might take a while longer than the citizens of those countries expect. But not unrealistic at all. And it will ultimately - allthough we're looking at a time horizen of 25 - 50 years, pay off for Western Europe. IMO anything else will most likely end in another division of Europe - do you want to go back to before 1989?

I'm proud of Britain's European heritage, but I don't want to see our powers of self-government (including the currency) moved over the channel for France & Germany to sit on. We're big enough to stand on our own 2 feet. Great Britain has no masters.
