Here is my situation. I have MSN internet through a DSL modem, which is plugged into a D-Link DI-604 Router to share around the house. I am using Windows 98 Second Edition. The firewall appears to not allow in externals ports to my computer, no matter what I do. I have set port 8000 and 8001 as available every way I can in every possible combination I can, though using the straight firewall settings to the 'virtual server' that is offered through the router. I have used D-Link's FAQ pages to set these up, and I believe I have them set up correctly.

However, I still recieve back a message informing me that SHOUTcast cannot get through my firewall and view my .nsv-format broadcast. I am aware there was another user who was having D-Link Router issues (of the same model, I believe) but how that user resolved the issues was not disclosed in the post. I have the latest firmware (2.18) and can figure nothing else out as far as what is wrong. At this point, I wonder if I should just call tech support, but I REALLY don't want to hear them read the screens in front of them and have me do things over and over again that I have already tried. I'd rather actually get HELP.

Does anyone have any suggestions, have experience with a D-Link DI-604 Router, or know what I may or may not be doing correctly?

Alright, just to clarify, I have visted this post:

http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=141837&highlight=DLink+Router+Firewall+Port

And I have followed all of the directions to the letter for my D-Link DI-604. I still recieve this message:

<08/06/03@14:32:53> [yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave error (nak)
<08/06/03@14:32:53> [yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave extended error (Cannot see your station/computer (IP: 209.181.148.47:8000) from the Internet, disable Internet Sharing/NAT/firewall/ISP cache (Connection refused))

Am I forgetting anything? Could this be an issue with my DSL provider, or should I call my Router tech support? Alternately, I have tried using port 8000, 8050, 50 and 435, just to see if something was blocked somewhere, and I get the same message.

OK, apparently MSN is blocking ALL PORTS except 80, 110 and 25.. I'm going to try a few other things, see if I can find someone to serve for me, but until then, DO NOT GET MSN! They're GREAT if you never intend to do ANYTHING complicated, but when you do they're AWEFUL.
