This is all old news. It's not spyware in the true sense of spyware because, unlike true spyware, WT includes options to disable and/or uninstall.
Also, the WT Updater thingy doesn't send back any personal info, just basic usage info and sys specs.

How do I get rid o the Wild Tangent control panel from my control panel. It wont go away. I never downloaded anything from them it just showed up the other day.

Ctrl+P, then go to general plug-ins, selcet wild tangent and click the uninstall button. I'll think I'll do it, I don't paly on Blasterball much now.

Have you installed AOL Instant Messenger lately by any chance? Newer versions come bundled with it.

I advise running Ad-Aware or Spybot Search and Destroy to destroy anything else it installed.

did you know that AIM causes one pop under per day while you use it. unless you sign off and sign on again than its one pop up per session between non business hours. so yeah i hate aim for the pop unders that some time interrupt my multiplayer online gaming.

Install DeadAIM or just use an alternative like GAIM.
