View Full Version : Game for audiophiles: Identify this band:
14th January 2004, 12:15
Never heard of them (http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Parthenon/2111/lobsters.html)
14th January 2004, 12:23
Bastard bastard bastard!!!
Deliberating on yours (the spreadsheet can wait).
14th January 2004, 12:46
Is this the lot who were really big circa 94/95? The irritating band (with more members than Kool & the Gang)?
14th January 2004, 12:51
afaik, they were never really big, but big enough I guess between '93 to 2000+
Still going, I think.
And still no hits...
Not sure about "irritating" though.
Some excellent remix projects too.
You tell me...
14th January 2004, 12:54
14th January 2004, 12:57
for sure
14th January 2004, 13:02
look a like French master.
/edit, err, we are the only ones to have posted on this page fellas :D
14th January 2004, 13:30
It beats bloody working.:D
Struggling at the first hurdle here.
14th January 2004, 13:40
I'll edit my original clue to...
Basil Brush sounds like an old French Master
Two clues in there now...
14th January 2004, 16:18
Recognize him/them . . .
Is it Boom Boom Lautrec? :p :D
Or, St. Sans Le Fox
Hmm... Reynard Matisse?
Nah. Umm, Vixen Debut C
Another clue please . . .
14th January 2004, 16:33
Ohhhh I couldn't possibly, you are so so so so close to the answer it's untrue...
Hmmmmm, ok, Basil Brush does a sheep impression but get's it wrong, so he sticks to doing sound a like French masters
Thats a song clue as well as an artist clue...
15th January 2004, 06:49
Next clue Jones...
I'm losing sleep!
15th January 2004, 07:21
I'm like a deer with no eyes and no legs...
Still no idea.
Va Va Voom? (Baa Baa Boom)
French master = artist/painter, yes?
Monet, Manet, Gaugin, Matisse, Toulouse-Lautrec, Renoir, Cezanne, Degas, Rodin, Rousseau...
I know I'm gonna kick myself...
'cos I definitely recognize the dude (not sure about the gal though).
15th January 2004, 07:28
Y'all so close, specially Egg, can't really give you any more clues as I'd probably give the game away, so might as well tell you..
Artist = Mettise ( that was the sounds like a French Master)
The Basil Brush reference was their big song from a couple of years back, Boom Boom Ba (the Ba bit being the sheep impression that didn't work :D)
Do I get another go for 'Foxing' you all :D
15th January 2004, 07:35
Never heard of them (http://www.metissemusic.com/) :D
Yeah, go for it Jonesy, your turn again.
15th January 2004, 07:38
Ok, a leeeeetle bit easier...
The clue is in the file name, however, this group is usually a trio, but could I buggery find a decent group shot...
15th January 2004, 08:41
But not alot easier....
Based on your clue, I'd say Port Talbot.:D
15th January 2004, 09:12
Never heard of any of these either...
next clue please :D
15th January 2004, 09:18
Oh for the love of mike :D, more clues....
Errrrr, famous for providing the music to a Levi advert
'nother name clue....
Benson & Hedges are available in towns and other larger living areas.
I fucking rule at this game when it comes to the obscure :D
15th January 2004, 09:30
Me and Egg haven't posted obscure (I'm a considerate type)...
15th January 2004, 09:31
15th January 2004, 09:37
15th January 2004, 09:51
Water down a plughole...
15th January 2004, 12:48
5 x consecutive posts is highly illegal (right)?
How about we give the genre with the first clue. It narrows it down....
Genre - Dreampop
15th January 2004, 12:59
15th January 2004, 13:10
Have you heard of them, or did you arrive via the clues?
15th January 2004, 13:35
A bit of both ;)
Genres: Industrial | Elecronica | Post punk | Experimental
Here's an old pic of the original line-up from 1977
15th January 2004, 13:46
And there was me thinking you didn't do obscure cylob :D
15th January 2004, 14:09
If you give the genre it's alot less painful.:D
15th January 2004, 14:42
'Time' relates to the first word of the band name.
The second part isn't exactly a word...
but you'd be very close with your guess.
15th January 2004, 15:24
The only post-punk bands I know of (from Sheffield) are Cabaret Voltaire & New Model Army. I'm working on it...
15th January 2004, 15:44
Clock DVA (http://home.btconnect.com/sheffieldvision/bands/clockdva.html), ask me another :D
15th January 2004, 15:50
Easy peasy Japaneasy one for you ...
15th January 2004, 16:02
Jeeh jones how difficult this one was
could it be yellow magic orchestra
just a guess
15th January 2004, 16:03
alright you brits
this one is a little more difficult for you
15th January 2004, 16:28
Well, if it's not Focus or Golden Earring, which it isn't, then I haven't got a clue. :D
15th January 2004, 17:09
first part of the bands name -is found in a Depeche mode song -
second part of the bands name is a genre in music and has nothing to do with the music they play!
15th January 2004, 17:17
15th January 2004, 18:30
nope but they do play blues music - that part is right dj egg-
the lady in the front of the pic = tineke schoenmaker
15th January 2004, 19:39
15th January 2004, 19:43
two hands together to make the clapping sound
well done egg
15th January 2004, 19:46
Egg has the limited edition box-set.:D
15th January 2004, 22:54
Ok, I suppose it's my turn again then...
Genres: Electro-dark-wave | world | new age | industrial alt rock?
16th January 2004, 04:09
Need another clue do we?
Of German origin at the core, though not all members...
The band name is a comparative phrase.
Here's my playlist (http://www.btinternet.com/~meggamusicweb/meggamusicweb1/Winamp_Playlist.html), if it'll help ;)
16th January 2004, 05:51
The corporate phrase rules out Ozric Tentacles.:D I browsed your darkwave selection and could only find 'Floatation'. Which ain't 5 words....
16th January 2004, 07:12
...as in a comparison between one thing and another ;)
Hmm, what's the proper grammatical term for it?
Not a metaphor or simile... umm, dang! brainfart!
They're somewhere in the middle of the list, or just after...
I'm not 100% sure what the actual genre is.
I looked on a few sites and found what I typed above.
If anything, they've been compared to the likes of:
Dead Can Dance | Delerium | This Mortal Coil | Enigma | Afro Celt Sound System | Celt Arabia | & I've even seen them listed alongside Depeche Mode & Skinny Puppy.
16th January 2004, 07:36
Love is colder than death?
16th January 2004, 07:44
hmm, just checked out some of the mp3 samples off the new album... no where near as good as their older stuff :(
Teignmouth | Mental Traveller | Oxeia
Those 3 albums are worth acquiring.
16th January 2004, 08:04
Egg will get this no danger....
16th January 2004, 08:41
Looks a bit like my old mate Andy Weatherall
Sharp Utopia = Sabres of Paradise
16th January 2004, 09:00
16th January 2004, 09:35
16th January 2004, 15:45
The clue is literal. One word only.
Genres: Industrial | Dark Ambient | Experimental | Electronica | Far Out & Freaky
16th January 2004, 16:09
Funny, I listened to Love's Secret Domain only last night. Windowpane is the only 'proper' song on it (the rest is just theatrics)....
16th January 2004, 16:30
16th January 2004, 18:50
I hope their music is better than their dress sense ;)
16th January 2004, 19:01
Their music's definitely better than the dress sense.:D
Clue 2 - derailment on a miniature scale.
Genre - Rock (a 50's flavour, not unlike the Von Bondies).
Off to the recommendations thread (where I bet any money zootm's plugged Dillinger Escape Plan).:D
17th January 2004, 07:37
The Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster
17th January 2004, 08:10
17th January 2004, 08:15
Original punk band
I could only find this small thumbnail of the original 1978 line-up (there might even be a loose clue in there somewhere).
17th January 2004, 12:54
Need another clue do we?
Well, small thumbnail was the loose clue from before, though it's not a thumb or a nail, if ya know what I mean...
Here's a pic of the band from 1997.
The only original member left is the singer/guitarist, 2nd on the right. You might recognise the guy on the left as the bass player from an even more famous band from the late 70's/early 80's...
17th January 2004, 13:21
Stiff Little Fingers?
If so, I was thrown as they formed in '77. Hmmmmmmmm...
17th January 2004, 13:56
Yup. Sure is.
I didn't say when they formed,
all I said was it was a picture of the original line-up from 1978,
ie. the picture was from 1978 ;)
Or at least, that was what I meant to say,
but I can see how anyone could easily be confused by my ambiguously worded statement, lol.
And of course, the current bass player is none other than Bruce Foxton of The Jam.
17th January 2004, 14:06
If I knew a tenth of what you do about music I'd still be a genius...:D:D
Now, 'taking a ride' back to the 60's
17th January 2004, 15:19
The Double Decker String Band?
Nah, they look very familiar though...
I thought it could've been Peter Paul & Mary at first
(Leaving on a Jet Plane)
until I saw a few pictures of them...
17th January 2004, 15:29
Invented for skyscrapers....
17th January 2004, 16:16
13th Floor Elevators
17th January 2004, 17:00
and now for some 80's psychedelia...
17th January 2004, 20:17
For a minute I thought '80's psychedelia' was a joke, but man you're serious!
/trips and falls at the first hurdle (breaks two toes).
18th January 2004, 01:32
Well, this was a supposedly secret side-project of a band that have already been mentioned recently in this thread, albeit as a wrong guess (by your good self, Cylob).
Said band started out as a punk outfit in circa 1977, but had a change of direction by 1979, taking a more new wave / alt pop-rock approach, and had a string of catchy hits (79 - 83 ish), still going afaik...
They recorded a couple of albums in the mid to late 80's under this more "psychedelic" guise...
You've got some trax in your playlist by them under their more popular name, but not any by this alter-ego.
hmm, kinda lordly and atmospheric (clue)
18th January 2004, 05:30
Word 1 = The
Word 2+ = Not "of hazzard"
18th January 2004, 08:37
The Psychedelic Aerial Dukes?
Even discogs has let me down on this one....:(
18th January 2004, 10:13
You're right with the last word, which is the second word of the band name.
Now, if you could just work out who they are when not using this guise, you'd get it straight away...
umm, just look back to when you were guessing for Clock DVA.
You gave a wrong answer. And that's who this lot are normally.
18th January 2004, 10:23
The Dukes of Stratosphear.:)
Man, I had no idea this 'project' existed. No doubt it's good stuff......
18th January 2004, 10:29
One of many german electronic bands.... (narrows it down a bit).:)
18th January 2004, 11:15
18th January 2004, 11:18
18th January 2004, 13:30
Must be someone else's turn?
But, in the meantime...
Genres: Rock | Alt rock | Industrial metal?
18th January 2004, 16:25
18th January 2004, 16:35
He he! That's an easy one marvin...
18th January 2004, 17:12
It is a bit, seeing we've just been discussing their alter-ego side project,
The Dukes of Stratosphear...
and especially seeing the right click properties of the image says the filename is xtc.gif
Yeah, it's gotta be Bananarama.
Are we right?
So, no-one knows mine then?
Hmm, I thought that one would be really easy.
What you might do with a knife
and the direction you might do it in
18th January 2004, 17:36
DJ Egg, thats cheating! But I'm sure you knew the band anyway.
18th January 2004, 17:42
There are no bands on AMG with names like...
I am well-and-truly stumped. If I have some of their music I'll fall on my sword.:D
18th January 2004, 17:46
Well, you're there with the Stab bit, but it just needs a few more letters on the end.
Word 2, think: Compass direction
Yes, I knew it was XTC straight away. No, honest, I did! hehe
18th January 2004, 17:49
But you did have to spell it out Egg....:D
\sits in a corner to read-up on Stabbing Westward
18th January 2004, 17:55
Yup. We got there in the end, lol.
I guess their 2 most famous songs would be:
You Complete Me & Save Yourself
But they've made a fair few tasty tunes, imho.
18th January 2004, 18:28
An easy one.....
18th January 2004, 18:37
Not 100% sure, but would have to say Blackbox Recorder?
18th January 2004, 18:46
Correct old fruit, absolutely right.:)
18th January 2004, 18:57
18th January 2004, 19:01
18th January 2004, 19:11
18th January 2004, 19:13
18th January 2004, 19:19
The "D'oh!" indicated you got it quicker than I thought
18th January 2004, 19:21
hehe. There's no mistaking that face, lol.
The one and only Don "Captain Beefheart" Van Vliet himself
From the same era / universe . . .
18th January 2004, 19:22
you're bloody mad cylob, i wan't your sticky brain for my japanese studies... :p
18th January 2004, 19:48
Don't know who it is, but the damn hippie needs a shave and a haircut!
18th January 2004, 19:52
That looks like one Mr Frank Zappa (supermarket checkout assistant)....
18th January 2004, 19:54
"Don't know who it is, but the damn hippie needs a shave and a haircut!"
How's about this then...
(~15 years later)
18th January 2004, 19:56
So, you didn't get the "Hats Off to..." clue then?
Think: Led Zep song.
Also sang lead vocals on Floyd's 'Have A Cigar'
18th January 2004, 19:57
Still needs a shave & a haircut.:D
18th January 2004, 20:01
Heh, it's just One of Those Days in England...
18th January 2004, 20:02
Looks like Arnie!

lol @ Arnie :D
18th January 2004, 21:00
A pioneering electronic band of the late 80's. They influenced bands of the time such as PWEI & Meat Beat Manifesto.
Their logo resembles that of BMW.:D
18th January 2004, 21:33
Is it Gabriel Byrne and Jude Law? ;)
18th January 2004, 21:40
Renegade Soundwave :)
18th January 2004, 21:49
19th January 2004, 11:25
I was gonna stay on a similar vein, but I couln't find a decent picture of
Radical Dance Faction anywhere.
So, instead, it's back to 60's psychedelia again...
Give away clue: We're looking for the original name, not what they changed it to in the 70's and had a few hits with in the 80's.
19th January 2004, 11:54

That was my first choice last night, but I came-up blank.:D
19th January 2004, 13:41
No idea who that is....
19th January 2004, 13:46
Bleh. It's an easy one.
umm, clue, errm . . .
The first 'presidential' word in the name stayed the same.
The second word changed from a 'sky' to a 'space' flying vessel.
19th January 2004, 13:50
Ah, Jefferson Airplane!
\sticks head in bucket of ice-cold water to wake-up..
19th January 2004, 14:19
hehe :D
19th January 2004, 15:26
Just to prove how far I'm gone I was about to post Recoil (that was done 2-3 pages back).:D
One of my favourite 80's bands....
19th January 2004, 17:26
Ooh, I do like Recoil, especially "Unsound Methods".
You sure we did them, or was that Coil?
Anyway, to the issue at hand...
Well, I was about to say Bauhaus,
because I recognised Daniel Ash straight away,
but there's no Pete Murphy.
Therefore it can only be
Love and Rockets
19th January 2004, 17:35
It can only be.:)
Peter Murphy was trying-out a new coffin.:D It has to be said, his goth-pop isn't a patch on Love and Rockets...
19th January 2004, 18:32
Ok, a potential tough one...
To quote amg
Styles: West African, Alternative Pop/Rock, Ethnic Fusion, Ireland
19th January 2004, 18:48
Potential tough one he says!!
\reaches for bottle of rum, looks through telescope, takes a swig, wipes mouth in sleeve, looks again, paces the deck....
19th January 2004, 18:59
Afro Celtic Sound System?
19th January 2004, 19:11
Afro Celt Sound System it is.
lol @ cylob :D
19th January 2004, 19:20
Continuing in a World Music vein (and to annoy Cylob);
Clue : Well, I can't think of one to be honest, but he is the man for a blend of jazz and African beats.
19th January 2004, 19:45
Let me now when you're about ready to swear and I'll give you another clue.
19th January 2004, 19:48
No idea. I'll hazard a wild guess...
19th January 2004, 19:51
Bastard, bastard, bastard!
\grabs the rum off an inebriated Cylob, swigs, curses, swigs and curses some more
19th January 2004, 20:00
lol. You mean I was right? Far out! :D
19th January 2004, 20:31
Can we just reflect on the last 2 guys....
Afro Celt Sound System?
/pushes marvin overboard.... swig, swig, swig....:) Sets sail for the northwest passage....
20th January 2004, 14:27
let go again

21st January 2004, 07:01
Talk about middle-age spread!
I was about to post 'Kissing the Pink', but google just came up with lesbian sites.:D Glad I searched at home...
I'll post another at work later. In the meantime if anyone's ready......
21st January 2004, 07:37
One of my favourite bands....
21st January 2004, 08:08
Clan of Xymox ?
Re: Kissing The Pink
Hehe, I used to know the singer, Josie.
She also sang for a band called Love & Destruction (late 80's, early 90's), which featured my mates Paul on percussion, Louie on bass, Sputnik (vox/bass) & Mick Reid (drums), the latter 2 who were also in Ship Of Fools and now Nine Invisibles. Heh, and Les from Cradle of Filth was the keyboard player in Ship of Fools. Small world eh ?!
21st January 2004, 08:14
Very small world.:D
Yep, Clan of Xymox it is. Good one Egg.
21st January 2004, 08:54
A fairly easy one for ye electronica fans,
especially with a filename like that! :D
21st January 2004, 09:12
Hmm, no offers? Clue a bit too cryptic maybe?
Think of what you'll be hearing / where you'll be when Big Ben strikes in 20 years time.
Hmm, well it could be tomorrow, or in 1000 years time actually.
21st January 2004, 09:18
The Future Sound of London ;)
I like it.
21st January 2004, 09:25

21st January 2004, 10:34
Ok, let's get groovy and uprate the tempo a little...
21st January 2004, 10:37
Looks like Underworld to me...
21st January 2004, 10:48
Upping the tempo further then. These guys are so retro they wear authentic 80's clothing (complete with chunky Timex watch).:D

I was gonna say can you find Egg a nice hard band....:D
21st January 2004, 13:10
To help you, I will just say it's still electronica...
21st January 2004, 13:32
Is it Alpinestars (with some extras in the pic)?
21st January 2004, 13:44
Nah, it's The Avalanches (http://www.elektra.com/elektra/theavalanches/index.jhtml)
21st January 2004, 13:46
oops too late... :o
well done Dj Egg!
21st January 2004, 14:03
One last "electronica" outfit from me
(for the time being)
Usually a 3-piece who perform under their own right,
but even more famous as remixers
(2 out of 3 of every 12" seems to include one of their remixes)
Sorry, couldn't find a better pic...
21st January 2004, 17:25
What? Not even a guess!
Ok, another pic, but only 2 of the 3
Can't seem to find a pick of all 3 remixers/producers/DJs together.
It's only one word we're looking for, and you already have the keyword.
21st January 2004, 17:33
Still no good. AMG's a fat lot of help on this on.
I even looked up the word 'mongrel' in the oxford english for definitions.:D
21st January 2004, 18:37
Well, you probably won't get it from looking up mongrel.
The nearest you'll get is 'mixed breed'
But if you look up the actual word, then 'mongrel' will be one of the definitions.
I guess 'mongrel' is more widely used to mean an inferior crossbreed, whereas this word is more widely used to mean a superior crossbreed.
But in some definitions, they both mean the same thing :weird: :igor:
Final clue: also the title of a Siouxsie track.
Oh, and they are listed on AMG
21st January 2004, 19:44
Do you give in then? ;)

Space Captain should give the name of the band away that this guy sang for ('72 to '80 ish). Yeah, you know, the kings of space rock, Hehe.
R.I.P = 1945-1988

22nd January 2004, 06:47
Hmm, well, yes, that was the band he was in between 1972 and 80 ish, but it was actually the artiste himself I was looking for, lol :D
22nd January 2004, 07:05
Ah yes, Robert Calvert.
Lucky I've never been on the Crystal Maze....
22nd January 2004, 07:30

22nd January 2004, 07:42

23rd January 2004, 06:15

23rd January 2004, 06:55
Felix Da Housecat
23rd January 2004, 06:58
This is either going to be very easy or very hard......
23rd January 2004, 12:31
4 hours later and no takers.:D
That answers your question marvin.
23rd January 2004, 15:17
Is it Laptop?
It looks like him...
23rd January 2004, 18:23
Clue : Its a still from a film this singer was in.
PS - its not Laptop......whoever the hell that is.
23rd January 2004, 20:00
Oh, you are so going to hate yourselves.
23rd January 2004, 20:09
But not as much as I hate you.....
23rd January 2004, 20:19
Clue 2 : A singer from the former colonies, but not the US.
The clues are a little cryptic, but its very, very difficult to think of ones that won't give the game immediately.
The next clue will be a little easier.
23rd January 2004, 20:27
23rd January 2004, 20:33
Damn! Its from the film "Ghosts of the Civil Dead".
Was going to post this...
23rd January 2004, 20:53
That would've given it away.:D
But, I knew it was Nick all along.......
24th January 2004, 08:34
Hi. I'm back (been away for a couple of days).
But hey, what's happening with the game dudes? There's nothing to guess :/
Whose go is it? ;) :D
24th January 2004, 09:01
Electronic pioneers. The clue's in the name....
24th January 2004, 11:07
TG? Twangerine Gream? :D
No idea. They do look very familiar though...
24th January 2004, 12:06
1st word - what your heart does when you meet someone you fancy the pants off of... (ie; you get in a lift to find Jennifer Anniston in there).:D
2nd word - the bit of the meat you give to the dog.
24th January 2004, 17:51
Thought they looked familiar...
24th January 2004, 17:56
24th January 2004, 18:09
ok, a short, sweet & simple one...
24th January 2004, 19:02
A guess - Can?
24th January 2004, 20:22
Not only have they long hair and side burns, they look suspiciously Germanic to boot....or is that to Can?:weird: or even Tucan?
24th January 2004, 21:11
 Told you it was an easy one :D
Damo Suzuki doesn't look Germanic though ;) :D
25th January 2004, 08:25
A new easy one....:D
25th January 2004, 14:24
That's easy for you to say :p ;)
I'm still trying to decide whether it's male or female :D
At least I gave a clue with my easy one, lol.
Looks very familiar... but it's those shades again which always make it tricky.
25th January 2004, 15:34
A new easy one....:D
25th January 2004, 16:25
25th January 2004, 16:27
That was just me being overly cryptic.:D
25th January 2004, 16:36
It's prog rock/metal time....

25th January 2004, 17:40

25th January 2004, 20:16
25th January 2004, 21:29
26th January 2004, 00:24
Not sure what clues I can give here.
You either know them or you don't, I guess (< not a clue, btw)
26th January 2004, 04:47
No? I thought that'd be an easy one
umm, 'batman' refers to one of his arch enemies.
There's even a picture of one on the wall.
3 words (or 4 if you put "The" at the front)
26th January 2004, 05:44
What an interesting bunch.:D
26th January 2004, 06:14
The Penguin Cafe Orchestra

26th January 2004, 06:19
Doh! Spaceplay's reply wasn't here when I first started typing. lol
Word 1 = The Arctic creature enemy (not Mr Freeze, hehe)
Word 2 = Where you'd buy/drink the coffees
Word 3 = the collection of musicians involved
Their most famous piece, 'Perpetuum Mobile', has been used for a few tv adverts.
Hewlett Packard, Knorr Herb Cubes, and a couple of car adverts.
Infact, most of their music seems to get used for adverts or film soundtracks...
'Telephone & Rubber Band' for Mercury One 2 One advert
'Bean Fields' for Eurotunnel advert
You'll also recognize 'Music For Helicopters' and 'Numbers 1 to 4'.
yeah, a very interesting bunch, hehe :D
26th January 2004, 06:24
Yeah, PCO
26th January 2004, 11:33
These last few have gone....like....totally over my head.:D
26th January 2004, 14:37
The two guys on the left in the Buffalo Springfield pic are Stephen Stills & Neil Young.
Hmm, it's possible that mine are just getting more and more obscure... well, to you maybe, but not for me, lol.
Let's see if you know who this is then...
The clue probably gives it away again, lol.
(yeah, definitely too easy, even without the clue methinks)
26th January 2004, 16:15
Based on your clue - The KLF....
They certainly look demented enough to burn £1,000,000.:D
26th January 2004, 18:27
27th January 2004, 05:28
Here's another, erm, hard one....:D
27th January 2004, 12:35
Kevin the Gerbil was the talent behind the rat...:D
27th January 2004, 12:52
i would say Roland Rat!
27th January 2004, 13:07
Correct buz. Not an easy one for a frenchman!
27th January 2004, 13:09
27th January 2004, 13:17
ok, here is mine:
27th January 2004, 13:48
27th January 2004, 13:51
hehehe, it's a bit more tricky!
27th January 2004, 14:34
I was being lazy (did it show)?:D
I recognise these two. What genre is it buz??? Electronic?
27th January 2004, 14:47
No, don't worry, it just showed my clue was more cryptic than you thought! :p
Ok, the genre should make it much easier: trip hop.
27th January 2004, 15:12
27th January 2004, 15:15
still not that!
I'll precise a bit my clue: greek beginning.
27th January 2004, 16:19
well, another clue if that can help: a letter
27th January 2004, 16:22
27th January 2004, 16:44
you're not far!!! A letter!!!
27th January 2004, 18:05
27th January 2004, 18:06
Forgive my ignorance.:D
They look good actually, I had no idea they existed. Another day, another band....:)
27th January 2004, 18:08
Well done Egg!
27th January 2004, 18:11
*uncorks bottle of wine to celebrate discovery of new band*
BTW Egg, do you work in the industry or something? An NME journalist by any chance?
27th January 2004, 18:28
You've probably never heard of these (which is sad) but they're another of my all-time fave bands.
Formed around 1979, still going...
Genre: Electronica / Dub
Styles: Downtempo, Ambient Dub, Dub, World Fusion
Note: couldn't find a pic of all band members together, so ~half of them will have to do for now.... (there's a bass player, percussionists, b. vocalists, and maybe one or two others missing)
