problem with microphone settings

Hi,
I read sticky's article. But I still have some problems:

1) in the mixer, I can't find the options: What U Hear" / "System Mixer" / "Stereo Mixer"
I should mention that I have WinXP.

2) My microphone is a USB microphone, so how do I use it?

Remember, you may have to make some mixers visible.
Mixer -> Options -> properties
