Anybody watch it?
I did...What a boring 3 hours.
Might as well have been the Justin Timberlake Show.
He's so phoney in his reactions to winning it's pitiful.
Rap...blah.
The Madonna "Kisses" looked cool to me.
Lets see more.
Chris Rock wasn't funny.
Good Charlotte won the Viewers Choice Award.
Maybe that should tell MTV the viewers don't want any more rap videos.
But I doubt it.
Rap...blah.
Every catagory had the same people in them it seemed.
Eminem beat up a puppet.
Dave Navarro hit some really hot licks, he's a pretty good guitarist.
Coldplay's song was well done, finally some resemblance to music.
Rap...blah.
Some guy dressed up like a pimp...he looked cool.
50cents won and looked like he got out of prison to accept.
Rap and pop, rap and pop...more rap and more pop.
Duran Duran won the Lifetime Achievement Award.
But they probably wonder wtf they were doing there.
They really looked out of place, since they came from the days
when MTV was about music videos.
Rap...blah.
And finally...
Metallica SUCKED. They need to retire and go away forever.
They're done. They've had there best days. Goodbye Lars.
Drink more beer James Hatfield.
Just go away.
And to think, I could have watched the mating habits of salamanders
on the Discovery Channel.
Oh well, there's always next year I guess.

:D

Yep, MTV is a complete joke. There just lucky that this country, and many other countries, are filled with mindless sheep that will follow blindly in mass numbers no matter how shitty MTV is.

The NME Awards were better. All of the really big award shows have been on a downward spiral for what - 10 years? I'm not hopeful of it ever reversing. These days we're all living in our own bubbles.

Chris Rock DID mention that in the opening monologue.

beavis and butthead and Aeon Flux were fuckin class. Liquid tv I don't remember, I didn't watch it that much then...and I watch even less of it now. I attempted to watch it, but Iwas pretty sure I'd get enough kicks watching the paint dry.

Seems as if the MTV Video Awards show has, just as many of the starring acts, spiraled into the stagnant pit of commercialism.

Fucking music business - BLAH!

The last time I watched with any semblance of interest was when Guns and Roses opened the program.

No doubt that you could, you'd probably have little Brit throwign rocks at Madonna, Christina AND Justin.

But I have a question for you:
Would your kiss work to revive little Slut-ney's record sales?
I guess that leads to another question:
Will Madonna's kiss work to revive it?
BLAH! Friggin' music business!
I hope all three of them (or at least the ones that don't already have it) get herpes!!!!!

Well, I saw it for about a minute at my friends house, it was showing some "artitst" "singing" and dancing. And for some reason the camera never was the same for anything longer then 5 seconds, it was sickning.
Or that could have been the music playing, not too sure.
MTV is nothing worth watching to begin with. The last show I watched even once in full was this Senior Mobys House of Music, if I remeber right. They at least showed some good bands... but I am sure they killed it by now. And by looking at their web-site (it is hard, trust me), it is long gone.

I know what you mean. MTV quick cuts every 3 seconds on everything they put on tv. America's youth has one giant case of ADD, so MTV needs to produce something that'll grab their attention.
