SikTh - The Trees Are Dead And Dried Out Wait For Something Wild
haven't been able to find reviews with straight numbers, but here's an excerpt from a review i found online:
It's not too much to say that the lack of new British world-class hard rock bands is becoming something of a worry. The bands that make you sit up and take notice these days are, almost without fail, either American or Swedish. It's not some foreigner-bashing flag-waving thing, just that this music was bloody invented here.
So it is that the debut from this Neasden sextet comes with some high, though not unrealistic expectations. When they supported Mudvayne earlier in the year, SikTh's jarring time changes, stabbing jazzy chords and twin vocalists (Mikee Goodman raps while Justin Hill sings in an acidic crushed-goolie falsetto), alienated all but a hardcore element within the crowd who, I suspect, saw in them the same things they loved in Raging Speedhorn.
it's very metal, i like it a lot :)
reviews of all their CDs (this is the first album - all the previous ones were EPs) here (http://www.suchthefool.co.uk/cdreviews.htm)
also, the CD has copy protection. if anyone buys it (i know you guys won't, but it's worth a try) and wants a way around it, i can tell you how. the player included on the CD is shit quality, and i can only play songs on my computer, by way of excuse :)

I'll tell you who killed British guitar music - NME. And who's moaning about it now? NME. The bastards!!!!!!! The list of bands NME assassinated is endless.
Anyway, new album:
Client - Client.
If you like a bit of electroclash (to warm your cockles in the winter).

Speaking of Tennant, I really wish PSB released a great new album, in the vein of their earlier works :)

Well, they're getting on a bit now. The 'crap towards the end' rule already applies. I'm satisfied with Disco 3. But I agree, it would be nice for one last great PSB album. They never did match Actually or Introspective.

Black Box Recorder - Passionoia
If their 2000 release (Facts of Life) is anything to go by this should be rather good.

Felix Da Housecat - A Bugged Out Mix
I'm looking forward to this one. Felix is at the top of his field, he could probably even make the Cheeky Girls sound good.
