Well,

I've gotten to a point where I'm eager to show off some of the skin that I have in progress though its far from complete I'd like to have a few thoughts on the simplistic design that I have adopted.

Currently,

I am not sure why or how this is becoming what it is other than I like it and its something that is a bit different for me...though, maintains as my skins always do something from previous skins...always the evolving skinner.

another amazing lookin Jax skin in the making. All your skins have a style with them, this one dosen't have the style as strong as your other skins, you can tell it's your skin... Unless you was blind.. but how would you use a pc if you was blind...

anyways, looking really good dude, can't wait to see more :)

it looks like it's going to have a really nice style to it. The only comments I'd have so far would be (1) change that orange a bit - maybe make it darker, or maybe lighter - something seems a bit amiss with it. & (2) I think it it looks a bit dull at the moment. Not dull as in boring, but dull as in matte and not shiny enough. I think adding some of the sheen that your remix had would work well.

Looking nice so far, only things I can see maybe is the vol/bal section, the metal there looks blurrier than the sharp tone to the rest, and I'm not sure about the shade buttons, the shape and size don't seem to fit the sleek overlaying of the rest. I like the dark orange, kind of a "burnt sienna" in crayola terms :p and not a typical color, and the way the areas seem to overlay each other - and the bottom of the viz looks cool and different - is something along that style going to appear anywhere else?

Nice and smooth. I like it, although the colors aren't my favs...maybe you could release a blue/green version.

As far as different colour schemes...I am one of the few skinners that after I'm done I only revisit to refine. As far as blue/green version...nah.

Information on the current design info: I am adding quite a bit to the main...my reasoning for showing only the main at first is to judge the overall acceptance of the design...and get a feel for what general statements come....I know that the orange color is definately not a normal skin tone that is used typically on metal type skins...however, I always try to do something different.

The vis-look will be carried out in 3 different areas...though at present I only have a sketch of where that falls and not in digital print yet. But, a similar design had reared itself in the cbutton row...

I know there is some smoothing and etc needed on the mono|ster for now its only a possibility I'm not sure if I will complete the skin with that area as it stands except the color.

what plans for the posbar slider? I admit I'm VERY curious which way you're planning on going with the buttons on this, since I can see a couple of directions that would be interesting. Only suggestion at the moment I can think of (apart from the shade buttons, which I'm not sure you've even worked on lol) is the little "empty" areas on either side of thebar where the cbuts and shuf/rep/menu button are maybe could use a little grabby metal thingy coming out or something? Just a thought, and yeah, I know my descriptions lack a certain... pinache :D

Looks interesting especially around viz, balance and posbar.
The orange compared to the yellow in the 2nd shot is a little washed out. Did you make the text aerea and kbps/khz different colors on purpose?

Color difference ... Yes I did...

cbuttons I've played with a bit...

So far I'm thinking on a form of a toggle button... (up|down) slide for them...fat not slender...I think you'd call them thumb sliders...like the old style...when you flip it up...a light goes on and the button is seen in a different position...

yes, everyone has their tastes...I'm trying something new. This is still Ampburner skin but, I want to make sure that I live up to his expectation first and primarily...though the style is drastically different altogether than previous posts, I personally feel that more is being done to make a truly fine skin.

Main is finished and working...here is the current finished product - I am now onto the eq

I have spent several hours this late in the am doing multiple revisions on the eq and a bit of redesign on the main so that it fits correctly when the eq is pressed up to it.

Pow right in the middle of doing this new skin my new pc showed up...and wow...heaven...

wow man this is looking really good. im not sure i like those things under the cbuttons though. they look like they're hanging down kind of low.

the minimize, winshade, and clost buttons look a bit too plain in my opinion. try making them brigher or maybe not perfectly round.

the only other thing i would think about changing is those areas that are almost white on the sides of the EQ. i would make them a bit darker and closer to grey

Ummm... there seems to be a mistake in your EQ on/off and auto/man buttons, and your Pl stacks are off by a bit. And, hmm. Good design for a skin, but you have quite a few little bugs for the picky. Do you have a good skinning template?

but, i will be releasing an update in lieu of the errors described here.

as far as the pl.stacks this is the way i wanted them...
think u can do better...go for it.

One bug in Repeat when you use shuffle,
one bug in EQon/off when you use Auto
Auto has no pressed stat...

Thats just the ones Luigi already found...

1. there is not a bug in the shuffle/repeat...
2. I left out the auto (purpose) I don't use it.
*(ie no pressed state)
3. Lights (non-existent on eq/auto)...This was a deliberate thing.
4. Eq - Close/Min (fixed).
5. Playlist - Changed Color (1pt up)
6. Changed Load Button and Sort to have correct tiling.
7. Change onstates to Min/Max for pl/ml/vid
8. Revised Mikro.bmp

All my skins contain the same thing...template or not...I always leave a few areas the exact same regardless of whether or not it seems as though you believe it to be a bug or not. I understand your frustration or critisism but, my reply Though, not exactly as requested...Is because, I have always maintained specific things to my skins...Finished products contain 'bugz' as you would call them...To me they are my signature...Like it or not its my way.

No, I'm not trying to be rude but rather trying to give you the understanding that I choose to leave them as they are.

No problem, if you decide that bugs are your signature.
The 'signature' in shuffle/repeat i was talking about is that if they are both switched off and you turn shuffle on, the lamp of repeat changes on the left side.
A left out button (auto) that is there visible but just has no different state is a little confusing, but yeah, all your decision.

I admit I was a little pissed by the answer you gave to Luigi :D

I don't know him...and I don't particular do well with those that I do not know. As for a further...The Auto = I don't use and don't skin...The Repeat button was deliberate...as I thought it looked better to have a slight adjustment difference between shuffle | repeat.
