File Link ?

Is there a way of creating a file or an icon that when clicked would link directly to a stream ? This file could be placed on a desktop or in a folder to make for quick access.

What do you reacon ?

You could copy a bookmark to your desktop.
Or you could use the bookmark features of Winamp.

Im a little outta my depth here how exactly do I use a bookmark to create a file ?

there is probably a better way to do this... this is a quick solution...

Open Internet Explorer
Click on favorites.
Right click on a favorite (bookmark) and drag it onto the deskop.
Choose "Copy Here"
Right click on the new shortcut on the desktop and choose "Properties"
Change the URL to the DNAS URL.
Finally rename the shortcut.

It's not elegant... but it should get the job done.

Thanks for your reply. That works a treat !!! I noticed that every time I clicked the link my favorites menu appeared just before connecting. Is there a way around this?

You said that was the easy way is there a hard way ?

I noticed that every time I clicked the link my favorites menu appeared just before connecting. Is there a way around this?I'm not sure about that. I made a shortcut, following the same steps, and I did not see the favorites menu. It might be a browser configuration setting? It might not be... I'm just not sure.

A hard way... hmm... I'm sure I could come up with something that is more difficult. :)
