MAKUHARI, Japan (Reuters) - Japanese video game company Nintendo Co Ltd said on Friday it plans early next year to offer a device that allows GameBoy Advance users to play games together without the use of cables.

That looks like the infra red zoid thing I showed in here a while back, still wireless gameplay sounds like fun fun fun, if that works for existing games now I'll be able play two player Mario super circut with the gf without being tethered together...

As for the wireless, thats a cool idea, now I just need some friends with the same games I have.

It's far past time for that. The problem with it being wireless is of course that it should be built in, and in the future they won't be able to charge you extra to get it.

Course they'll probably jack up the cost of the extended life battery packs.

Yeah, but when you are tethered together, it's not a good idea to leap into the air while still clutching your GBA to shout "IN YOUR FACE NER NER NER" when you have finally beaten her around Ribbon Road or something...

Also, I'm curious about a few specs. I didn't read too deeply into it. What kind of range do these things have? What freqs do they run on? They going to interfere with microwave or vice versa? :)
