Introducing the Tapwave Zodiac...

http://www.tapwave.com/

Expensive PDA type gadget, or a revolution in handheld entertainment?

Certainly has some specifications, not sure though, looks like another "everything under one roof" kind of gadget, game player, PDA, MP3 player etc etc

/discuss.

I know it's Gamespy, but still...

At least this one probably exists, what with the hardware that people have actually seen, and licenced games (no, any games at all) - the Phantom people should take notes!

from the article...
Tapwave's Zodiac is primed to change the way everyone plays with their Palm.
Heh, if they say so. :p

Listen to MP3s.
View your photo library.
Watch videos.
Manage your calendar and contacts.
Go wireless—compete with up to 8 players.I already use my PDA to play music, but I'm dissapointed that Pocket SNES is a piece of crap. I might just buy this if they have decent games at a decent price. The buttons on this console looks like it will bother you when playing. Notice the plastic + in the center of all of the buttons.

What?! $300. Fuck that. I'll stick to my GBA/SP thank you. Maybe I'll buy the up comming PSP. I know it will cost a lot less than $300.

I'd much rather spend $300 on a new 21" flatscreen monitor for my computer...

hmm, it looks like the PSP might have some competition; the zodiac may cost more, but its screens are enough to make me wet my pants!

I just realized this when looking at the Gamspy page (note the irony of the advertisement in the article):

I highly doubt that the Zodiac will have decent games though, the PSP can simply port popular PSX games to the PSP. And since PSP doesn't use a cartridge, games will be pretty at decent prices too.

You don't consider $30 a decent price for a game (on Zodiac)? Not that I'm against the PSP or anything...hell, I'll probably end up buying both. I just hope the PSP has wireless gaming via Bluetooth like the Zodiac...

At least it won't be NGage. It has almost never happened that a game console gets its best games until a half year after it's release. A cellphone-model is OLD after 6 months, and people will start buying new models. I you know what I'm trying to say. :)

PSP will have a cartrage but just not the one you are thinkin of... it has a disc and it is inside a protective cartrage(shock proof yay:)) like an Mini Disc(MD) but it will hold 1.8 gigs so bigger games :) how do i know this you ask? i keep in touch with the latest playstation news :) my soruce: PSM Magazine
