Being so out of touch, I had to Google to understand what you were talking about, but I'm glad I did. I inadvertently stumbled upon an interesting topic.
Search on Google Groups for "robot jones" voice (http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=utf-8&threadm=vnha2oca0t95cc%40corp.supernews.com&rnum=1&prev=/groups%3Fhl%3Den%26lr%3D%26ie%3DUTF-8%26oe%3Dutf-8%26q%3D%2522robot%2Bjones%2522%2Bvoice%26sa%3DN%26tab%3Dwg)

What I find interesting is the topic brought up in the middle of that thread regarding "frankenactors". What is an animated, computer-voiced character? Who gets credit for his successes? The animator, the writer, the voice technicians? What share of the credit do each receive? What happens as our ability to dynamically recreate arbitrary human speech and to create ever more realistic cgi allows film makers new options? What happens to flesh actors?
