does the admin ever just post besides tech stuff and guidelines? also... does the admin have more power than the mods? just curious :)

Admin actually work for AOL under the guise of Winamp. Mods volunteer their time and rarely do Admin post on the forums at all.

Admins are the gods. They can do anything they want with these forums. The mods can do a lot, but they do not have almighty control.

Admins are there to discuss new happenings with things like new versions of Winamp and AVS and such. Mods are here to keep order.

Cool - I didn't realize Sawg and CraigF could access the admin panel. I figured craigf just had to submit his modifications to the admins to get them to update it. Cool beans.

The admins also do all the work for developing Winamp. They don't just do occasional changes to the forums. Justin posted a lot in the AVS forums not too long ago (avs 2.7 pre-relase downloads)
