Shares in Nintendo, the Japan-based games console maker, dived 6% on Monday as investors absorbed news that the firm expects a huge loss in the first half of its financial year.

Hmmm, really does go to prove that they make no money on hardware I guess, I mean if they did, surely the millions of GBAsp's they have sold would have made this blow less severe.

Still, if the cube hit's £79 in the UK, I really might have to buy one, that's cheaper than what I paid for my sp a few months ago...

LOL yeah. In the US GC is now $99, and the GBASP is still about $100. At least I can afford to buy both now.

I wouldnt say M$ is making any money on the Xbox... any time soon.

Anyways look at the games the Xbox has......... I am still looking.

Yes, Nintendo has lost some money... and this is their first lose EVER, since they first started. But I am not worryed.

It's just that there aren't enough games on the GC to appeal to me. All the good titles are on XBox and PS2. I can care less for graphics.

I actually went out and bought a second copy of Metroid Prime a couple days ago just to have it and to help out what little bit I can. It's too bad to see something like this happen to Nintendo. I've always been a fan, and always will be... :(

If I had a job, I would buy a second GC and much more games. But I dont... maybe soon.

You could tell investors that their company CEO had a bad hair day and they'll start selling like mad.

I love my Gamecube because it does what I bought it to do; play games. And it plays them very well.

I have Sony for my big screen entertainment.
I have Nintendo for my hand held gaming needs.
I have Microsoft for my PC requirements

Each good at what they do in their own specialist fields.
