Yesterday, I encoded one of my fiancee's cd, which happens to be a Kim Wilde singles collections. It reminded me of how much I like electro-pop music sung by female artists. Any recommendations of good music in that subgenre ? Cylob, I'm counting on you ;)

'seer! Man, where in the hell have you been? Missed you around here. :D

Back on subject, look for Kreo. I really, really like her song "Burning for you".

You've come to the right place.:) I try to strike a balance between male & female vocalists (with the odd instrumental). I consider these all to be modern synth classics:

Female Vocals:
Cylob - Living in the 1980's
Sampler - The Greatest Hit
Alpinestars - Vital Love Disciple
W.I.T. - Hold Me Touch Me
Dot Allison - Substance (Felix Da Housecat Remix)
Ladytron - Another Breakfast With You
Ladytron - This Is Our Sound
Swayzak - State of Grace
The Parallax Corporation - Crocodiles in the Sky
FC Kahuna - Machine Says Yes
Water Lilly & St Plomp - Shake a Leg
Miss Kittin & the Hacker - 1982
Hong Kong Counterfeit - Metal Disco (Legowelt Remix)

Male Vocals:
Waldorf - Fashionist
Waldorf - You're My Disco
Legowelt - Sturmvogel
DMX Krew - Good Time Girl
DMX Krew - Street Boys
DMX Krew - Body Rock
Egoexpress - Weiter (With Dirk Lotzow)
Martini Bros - Dance Like It Is OK
Swayzak - Buffalo Seven

Instrumental:
Ellen Allien - Open
Legowelt - Fizzcaraldo

I recommend Marina and the Diamonds - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hig5uLy2fe0&list=PL7YISCBO-F1OmNmoj8nXy8AGjGSytxVq5&index=2 and the electro-pop version is here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TN-EIKEghuw

I'm also a musician and have had the pleasure of working with an amazing singer and we have a electric pop song we are proud of - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3X5tmI5DMlk&list=PL7YISCBO-F1Nte0WrWDiSPoTWWNzzl6GU&index=1 She was the one who introduced me to marina's music, which is amazing. I have another song with her as well - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FpkSwBcXMAE&list=PL7YISCBO-F1Nte0WrWDiSPoTWWNzzl6GU&index=9 though its operatic electronica rather than pop.
