I love Winamp5. It's Winamp2 with some of Winamp3's better features and you don't even have to use the new skin if you don't want. Personally I love it, but wish it was just a TINY bit smaller. But that's cool, considering it's new features. I always keep it in Windowshade mode and I love how you can stretch it out across the screen (the main window) and it has a few more options. An idea would be to maybe expand upon that so that you can lock it to right above the start bar (or at the top of the screen, whatever people choose), and you could pop up the normal playlist editor window above it and play around with that if you wanted to.
Just thought I'd throw in that little idea to make it even better. But the one thing I think is missing from this is something from Winamp3. Please note, that by this I do NOT mean the media library. In Winamp3's playlist editor you could click the little arrow bar thing to the right of the window and a playlist thingy would pop out to the left. You could make your own playlists of files (that were SET UP like the media library), double click one of the playlists you made, and it would automatically start playing in the playlist editor. First, I think you should just add that back (but keep the playlist editor Winamp2-like, but just with that extra thing I just described) and make it so that if you have random on and you double click to play a playlist it picks a random song (not just the one at the top). Also, a neat feature would be being able to assign a directory to a playlist you made that when you open Winamp (or click a refresh button on the playlist.. list.. thingy on the right of the actual playlist editor) it would refresh with whatever files are in that folder.
I dunno, that would make MY Winamp experience PEFECT, seeing as how I set up my MP3s. (Very organized.) Just a couple small ideas I thought I'd throw out. I don't even know if this is this place to talk about that or if the designers will read it/care. But there you go.
