Media Library: display other fields

I organize my collection with the comment, artist and title fields but the ML does not display comment and also display other unwanted fields(to me).

My collection is an anime song collection and the comment field holds the title of the anime where the song comes from.

My playlist format: %comment%: %artist% - %title%

The comment field is important to me.

I wish that the displayed fields in the ML can be changed, reordered and removed. I would also want the ML to count the songs by comments instead of artist and albums.

Make sure it includes the adding of fields and the ability to count the tracks by the comment.

You're not alone, for me it is also important to see a comment collum that can be sorted in lib... good suggestion.

What ever happend to the "pull-down" style menus in the media library, I am refering to the winamp3 style ML. I liked that you could pull down a menu and select what that pane displayed. If that could be implemented that would be sweet

I find the winamp 3 style of media library very intuitive.

being able to select the field displayed in each pane is a powerful way to quickly search your media library.

Select an album of genre rock, or select an album of artist pink floyd, or select an artist of genre folk. Very fast to find what you want, whatever you're looking for.

that option does not appear for me in wa5b2. Where exactly do I click? In artist/album view, right click only gives me play selection, enqueue selection, and send to.

It's not in Beta2, it will be in final.

...and the "customize columns" option will be available via right clicking on the column header (ie. the gray bar thingy along the top of the media view, bottom pane, where it says: artist, title, album, length, etc etc).
Other optional columns:
genre, filesize, track #, year, playcount, rating, bitrate, filename, comment, plus others, plus the option to move up/down . . .

Its been in since Beta3, which was not publically released. There won't be another Beta though, final is due out next week (hopefully).

btw, I doubt if there will be another public beta.
Internally, we're currently on beta 4 build 5.
There might be a couple of release candidates, then it's going final.

Looking forward to 5 final. This is the one feature making me stick to Winamp 3.

This is in Winamp 5 Full... In the Media Library, right click on any column header and choose "Customize columns..."

Alas, this is not the feature I was looking for. I want artist/album view to be genre/artist/album view, like in iTunes. Or, as in the winamp3 ML, to be able to dynamically assign drill-down categories.
